Anybody else sense dark times ahead?

And it wasn't just the fake punt. It was the 4th down pass attempt, And letting one player destroy our defense and not adjusting to it. There was a play later in the game where Smith spins around tosses to the flat the guy who killing us is standing wide open not a cowboy defender within 10 yds.
This cannot happen on the NFL level Changes have to be made

It is painful to watch the same in game decision mistakes being made throughout the year.
His inability to properly scheme effectively and lack of general team preparation on a weekly basis just jumps off the screen.

This will continue. It is NOT just an injury issue.
And if it's Moore's offense, Nolan's defense and Fassel's Special teams, McCarthy's role in all of this is what again?
Inquiring minds want to know, lol.

I also completely disagree with thr premise of this thread. The offense has elite talent when healthy. The OL has been decimated. The play calling has been suspect, but I don't think Moore will be around next season. It's just been a perfect storm this season. The Cowboys have just as much chance to compete for a SB next season as they do to be a cellar dwellar.

the only thing elite on offense is the wide receiving corps. The OL is aging, injury prone, and is less talented, the RB is slower and fumbles, and Dak is maybe above average on his best days and will be returning from an injury. The defense is a problem at all levels; middle of the DL is porous, LB’s are either ineffective or can’t stay on the field, safeties are suspect, and CB’s are below to average - except for the new kid. Now add the money tied up in terrible contracts like Zeke and Jaylon with arguably the worst coaching staff in football. And a front office that hires the wrong coaches, signs the wrong free agents, and drafts like a blind squirrel. Yah, they have just as much chance to compete for a SB next season.

We have a senile owner, a penny-pinching son, a con-man head coach, an aging roster littered with poor contracts, an inability to draft properly on one side of the ball, and an improving division. Where is the hope?
1977, the last Landry Superbowl and a new hope came out that year. The evil emperor killed that hope as wait wait for the return of a new jedi.

Ahead? It's been 20+ year since any sort of real chance at a championship. This isn't dark yet?

Outstanding truthful response. Great job.

Just pray someone will pay 10 Billion to Jerry Jones and buy the team

It's all that's left and he still might not sell.

At least there will always be the 70s and 90s championship history. Can't take that away.
Am fortunate enough to have experienced both.
Genuinely feel bad for the fans not old enough to have enjoyed actual success.

Yep.

Jerry Jones has turned the love of my life into a mere acquaintance. I check in on them once in a while to see how they are doing instead of being their for them all day every day. It took 25 years but he finally wore me down.
Happened to me a couple years back, I'm completely apathetic about them now. In fact, this year I decided to not watch any games and I'm so happy I made that decision.

Coming here and reading about the games is as close as I get. I do enjoy reading most of the threads and keeping up on what's happening. but I don't miss watching this mess at all.

No not at all. This type of season is exactly what we needed. Top 5 pick in every round to help the rebuild. Which is exactly what has been going on. I still love the draft from last year. Lamb, digs, gallimore, Biadasz all starters and quality ones.

McGovern looks solid, get our oline guys back. Moving on from having to feed zeke is a must.

Me too...It's late but I finally have come to terms that Jerry Jones is a major choker..he does well for his family financially but for his fans he's a greedy, selfish no good SOB.

Jerry will blow it..he's not good. He's good for the Jones family..terrible for fans. No championship in last 25 years..yet we are the most valuable sports franchise in the world. You think a top 5 pick is going to change that?

I don't think so

definitely going to help. Not going to change Jerry. It will make us better than the 20th pick.

the mistake is fans over valuing what this injury plagued team really was.

If you haven't found this out in 20 years, nothing's going to convince you.

Jerry doesn't know how to construct a team, pay the approach players or pick the right coaches.

It's not going to change until he's not owner and general manager.

We're looking at a Kansas City Chiefs, NY Jets, Minnesota Vikings type futility.
THIS THIS THIS THIS AND THIS

BUT a bunch of silly guys here.. think we are "pessimists" or not true fans.
ENOUGH of this garbage
