Why would Jerry even consider bringing in a new coach now to a team that is hurting in so many positions???

So, no, I do not think that McCarthy's job is at risk after the Cowboys' loss...

and

Stephen A. calls Mike McCarthy a liability after another Cowboys loss

I think the chances are less than zero that McCarthy gets fired. I think every 1st year new head coach after this strange off season and no preseason and an altered training camp will get a pass for this season.

He knows he is not getting fired and can make all of these bonehead decisions without any repercussions.

He would have to do a complete 180 on these gambles. If he's still doing it next year, he should be fired on the spot.

Yes the fake punt was laughable in a 4th and 10 situation during a 4 pt game deep in your territory. Totally brought me back to my days playing Madden. Can't do that. The other 4th and 1 was a big risk, but at least it was within a yard. The play call was what was stupid. Don't know if that was Moorenor McCarthy's play call.

I wasn't a fan of the Big Mac hire, and he's done nothing to change my mind, but there's no way he gets fired after one injury-riddled, covid-affected season.

I agree it’s not at risk but it should be.

What does all of these big picture excuses for him have to do with the moronic in game coaching decisions we have seen since Game 1?

I wouldn’t waste another season with him but I also didn’t like the hire to begin with.
The QB could draw sandlot plays in the huddle with his finger on the turf tracing routes like we used to do in the neighborhood and do better than these coaches.

Not in jeopardy at all. It is all part of the tanking scheme. They had the 2 wins earlier in the season when they had control of the East.
But then the losses. So after a fluke win against the Vikings, MM and JJ devised a way to lose. They want that top 5 pick. But try to make it seem that want to be competitive. Yesterday was a big reminder they are not competitive.

This is all truth that I agree with.

But you know all too well the Jerry mindset and way of thinking...

And that is to intentionally wait too late before reacting to a problem so as to preserve his ill conceived self image as a Football Man.

At the expense of the entire team.

A never to blame narcissist with his play toy.

Truly sad.

I usually agree with you but this is one of the times I can't. For the record, I've never been a fan of BigMac and I'm still not. But you're acting as if the Cowboys are bad because of coaching. Dude, the team stinks! Dallas isn't 3-8 as opposed to 8-3 because of coaching. The team sucks!

NO. As a matter of fact, i feel Dumb and Dumber are all in now on getting the highest draft pick they can get. Obviously, they will not say it publicly. With all the bad karma that has engulfed this team all season, only a fool would feel like winning now is the solution to their problems. It actually is a fake sense of success to win meaningless games at this point.

Hey I get it. A lot of people like McCarthy.

I just think his best days are behind him and neither Favre or Rodgers are going to save him here.

Unfortunately Jerry’s ego is much to big to ever admit he made a mistake in hiring MM......
So we’re probably stuck with this dumpster fire for at least 3 yrs........And it ain’t gonna get any better than this folks. Think about all the coaches you’ve watched over the last 20-30 yrs ( depending age of course) How many of them have completely changed their coaching philosophy in one off season???.......yea pretty hard to think of more than a couple......99% of them NEVER CHANGED.
and MM is gonna be in that 99%
So Buckle Up Cowboy Its Gonna Be A Long Rodeo

not for the remainder of this season. but i'd be discussing it behind closed doors as to whether or not to let him go after the season. it just isn't working. every coach has had to work with the circumstances of this year. the washington team has gone thru two starting qb's and is improving weekly. rivera even had to battle cancer. he is clearly better than mac. judge in ny has the giants on a bit of a roll. smashing watermelons is a cute story. but our defense looked totally lost yesterday. they didn't know where to line up. gregory takes a rolling dive to get off the field to prevent 12 men on field penalty, but then is sent right back out for the play. a good hc would have already fired nolan as the dc.
Yes, I agree with this. This coaching staff has failed. If MM is brought back then he needs to fire his coordinators and bring in new ones. Nolan and fassel are trash. But I don't think MM is good. I think he's a product of Rodgers.

You're so right. We haven't got a Favre or Rodgers, just an 88.....................oh sorry I left out the dash "Mr 8-8." who was Mr 1-4 before he got hurt. Sorry CeeDee. There. Fixed. He's got great stats though!!!!! Too bad dat don't win no championships.
