We are a 3-8 team.
Decimated by injuries.
Displaying a historically awful D.
Dogged continually by self-defeating mistakes and fundamental errors.
Saddled by an arrogant, stubborn Front Office.
Hindered by a number of bad long term contracts.
Led by an ineffective coaching staff.
Facing a number of massive decisions this offseason.

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being high), my confidence level in the leadership of this team is 1.7. Just don’t see much hope for this franchise to turn it around. They are overmatched across the board.

Everyone can see, the only way to restore confidence is to make a genuine change at GM. New philosophy. New decision structure. New focus. Ruthless change. Happens in the business world all the time.

But we all know this owner lacks the sack to do what ACTUALLY is required to be done to fix the root of the issue.

Barring McClay getting promoted to GM and JJ officially retiring, this purgatory is guaranteed to continue un-abated.

I’m at a 2. In a year where we avoid injuries we have a good chance of winning a horrible division, and an outside shot of winning the first playoff game depending on the matchup. Then we get clobbered when we play a real team playing for real stakes. Then a lot of people go crazy talking about how if we draft this player, or sign this free agent, then We are off to the Super Bowl next year, only to wind up finishing at 500. Well that was under ‘Jason Garrett, under the new horrible coaching staff that makes consistently moronic decisions, maybe eight and eight is what we do in a good year.

Don't let it get to you too much. Things change quickly sometimes. Not that long ago we were all cackling at how stupid Atlanta was...and how great Bones was.

I don’t want to hear a damn thing about injuries... are you telling me we literally can’t compete, that’s how sorry our depth is, that’s how sorry our coaching is?

the Steelers were competitive without Big Ben and managed to keep imbeciles like Antonio Brown some what in check.

we have divas and spoiled entitled players that have it made... no fear, no culture, nothing... just a bunch of losers.

I have been saying since 2016....I am so happy I sold my PSL's / Season tickets, and have not regretted it for 1 second....

Even more happy now, it was like winning something in the lotto as I look back on it. Used up my luck on that one, and I am ok with it.

The only contract that is a big problem is Jaylon.

Zeke is over-paid but he is still a good player when the OL is good.

DLaw is a good player. He does not get many quality pass rush opportunities because the lack of team run defense keeps opponent offenses out of many 3rd and long passing situations.

Most of the off-season decisions are about the draft.

Jaylon is the only big contract that they should consider cutting before 2021.

There is no possible way to know if the coaching staff is bad or good due to the extreme circumstances (Massive injury issues, no off-season, etc..).

If you think the players are terrible, then you can't judge the coaching staff.

Extremely well written and total agreement.

The only reason we are disappointed is because we keep falling for the hype...

This franchise sucks, has poor ownership, right there with Detroit, Cleveland and Cincinnati for pathetic ownership...

but the fools of fans will pack that garbage stadium every Sunday once the cap on attendance is lifted...

I would say Zeke’s contract is definitely a problem. His production has been declining the past several years, and if you are saying he needs All Pros at every position along the OL in order to produce— then that just further proves my point. Throw in the fumbles on top of his lack of leadership ability, and you have an under-performing player being paid elite/premium money at an under-valued and over-supplied position in the NFL.

Crawford is another bad contract in addition to Jaylon. We need to improve the heart of this D.

I'd approach the offseason like everything would have worked if not for the injuries. Stay the course. You don't really need anything. The front office is humming. Sit out free agency and strongly consider another special teams draft.

They have to fire some of the coaches, including big Mike.
