OK, let's put this to rest right off the bat, there are two kinds of Christmas movies. Those about Christmas like Miracle on 34th Street and The Christmas Story and those that take place at Christmas like Lethal Weapon, Die Hard and Gremlins.

There are two that bring me that kid feeling of Christmas, The Grinch live action and Rudolph because I was a youngster when that premiered on CBS and it's never gotten old with me. I also enjoyed turning my two sons onto it and watching their eyes.

My go to is It's a Wonderful Life because it never fails to affect me emotionally and there's something so wholesome about it, I return to a time before I got on the on the one way Skeptic Street headed to Cynical Cove.

So, whachyagot? Is there one that you depend on to bring you that warm and fuzzy that is almost your never fail? And if there's a story behind it, share that with us.

I may have more go to's this season than usual because I think we could all use some spirit lifting. I will also be lifting spirits, just in case.

Spirits all around me, even in my glass
The Ghost of Christmas Past can kiss my ***.

I've never seen Scrooged, but I like Bill Murray so I just put a hold on it at the library. All 7 copies are out, so I guess it's still pretty popular.

It's Bill at his best, IMO. I wonder if you can get it on YouTube, Netflix, or some other streaming service.

I just checked, and you can buy or rent it on YouTube. I don't know how much it costs.

I love the Die Hard and Gremlins debates. They are BOTH Xmas films...let's dance on that one!
Home alone 1 and 2 both classics...but Christmas Vacation has to be the GOAT imo. Elf is an absolute must and it is probably overall my families favorite Christmas movie.

Scrooge might be the funniest though...

There are all the standards, but I always to remind people that Die Hard and Gremlins are technically Christmas movies.
