I'd probably go a B-.

Threw a bad pick near the red zone, and another on the final drive that should have been picked, and missed a wide-open target on a key third down. Other than those three miscues, he was on-target and efficient throughout.

The key will be the offensive line continuing to provide enough time as they did yesterday. Kicking Martin out to RT seemed to make a significant impact.

I agree for the most part. But I'd give him a solid C to C+. He did look like an NFL QB out there. His pick wasn't nearly as bad as the one Gilbert threw in the endzone against the Steelers. But we're going to see what Andy is made of the second time around against Washington. Their defensive line is night and day compared to the Vikings.

How do I care, when you are the one who brought it up as if it's a thing to worry about.

"No wonder why no one takes you serious"

That was all you. You do care, I say what I want, you watch what you say because you want everyone to like you

Still not seeing what I thought I'd see but he was serviceable. So I'm thinking a C

Just curious what some other fans think of his Sunday's game.....

Side note: I'm not convinced Gilbert would not have also this game. Something about him that gives me more confidence that Dalton......maybe moxie.

I thought Dalton was pretty off with his passes. He actually looked worse than I thought he would. I’m hoping it was just an off game for him after being hurt and out for several weeks. I hope his accuracy improves moving forward.

I would give him a C or C-

I couldn’t help when watching the game thinking Gilbert played better than him.

long gone are the days of Troy Aikman & Tony Romo accuracy

C+. Need to start playing Gilbert to see if he can fill the backup role next year.

First half...A
Second half...C
Overall...B- or C+

Had a few drops in the second half with Lamb dropping that easy TD. Had one real bad INT.

Wish he would start taking risks on his own instead of going with the beat of the drum. Really needs to start changing plays at the los especially in the red zone when Moore goes full stupid.

Andy Dalton is 7 Losses away from being Career Average - C

71 Wins 64 Losses 2 Ties

As the great Training Camp RB Troy Hambrick infamously quoted "What do leadership mean?" [Insert any phrases it works]

Answer: Not Andy Dalton

There are several QBR grades but didn't one of them rate Alex Smith at 22 and Dalton 74 out of 100 for the game?

I would give him a B myself.

He looked like a mediocre quarterback that was scooped up in free agency with a back up quarterback ceiling. Remember when people were claiming he wasn’t that far off from Dak? Or even better, when some claimed he was better? Lmao

I literally haven’t heard a word of Colin Cowherds podcast since then. The amount of money he makes to put up dumb *** predictions like that or even to say that Wentz is better than Dak and still have a show is blasphemous to me.

Andy Dalton was effective as any backup could be, despite the pressure he had to overcome.
I've got no hesitation in saying Andy deserved a solid B+ for his gutty quarterbacking!

B+ as the Dak-Mafia and luck was once again letting him and us down.
Zeke (Consigliere of Don Dak) fumbles again and Lamb another crucial drop(Dak button man) in the endzone!
Now add to the fact that the fix was in and Jerry has big draft dreams well you get the idea.
Pretty much a replay of the Cardinals game....

Many posters on this site were joyous when Dalton took over. They said there would be no drop off and some said Dalton would be better. Some of those posters have disappeared. However the posters that really dislike Dak have doubled down trying any way they can to prop up Dalton. He actually is a decent backup quarterback.
