I want to know the same thing.. Why is there so much hype about a game that doesn't have any multiplayer or anything?

What is so cool about it?

I don't think there is an actual PS5 version coming out on release either.
The people making it made Witcher 3 and was considered probably the best rpg last gen. It's been delayed a couple of times which also kind of added to the hype buildup probably It's supp. to be kind of similar to GTA 5 in how the various subplots are supposed to intertwine and believe can change depending on your decisions at certain story arc points.

So could probably be one of those 100 hour games if you wanted to really deep dive into it. Kind of Red Dead 2 expectations, anything less than a 9/10 will get it panned tbh due to the high regard for W3 and the delays. Game looks sharp though.

Speaking of GTA V, I stayed up until 2am last night playing that game. I think it's safe to say I definitely slept on that game.

Also, I'm not saying the graphics are bad (they aren't) but you can definitely see the progress we've made in terms of detail in games. No matter, amazing open-world design and interaction. Hard to believe that game is 7 years old already.

Cyberpunk will have multiplayer, it wont be ready for release however until 2022 or so. I could almost guarantee Cyberpunk will be the game of the year.

I finished Uncharted 4 yesterday after a 4 day Thanksgiving break. I enjoyed the game a lot, but there is no replay value for me. Most of the games I finish if I like it I will replay it multiple times. I didn't collect any treasures unless they were blatantly obvious. I'm not the type of player who tries to get every trophy or other pickups unless it really helps in the game. I'm going to see what's available for free on the PS Now side and see what interests me. I work from home now so I can slip away and play some during my "lunch" break. LOL.

That was one game I just could not get into. I felt something as if something was wrong with me as I was playing it wondering why I didn't like it more. :)

Yeah, I'm on that fence with the replay value of Uncharted 4 as well. I have it on my hard drive and I keep contemplating deleting it to create space, but every time I go for it, I think "well, maybe someday again....". haha For some reason I get that way with games. Like Bioshock. Beat all 3, don't have any plans to go back anytime soon, yet have a hard time deleting them.

I'm the same way. When I finally get the PS5 I know I will have to be able to delete games since the HD is comparatively small compared to the sizes of the PS5 games to come out. Luckily I have a pretty fast internet.

The cutoff for Game of the Year consideration is that it has to be available to the public before November 20.

Looks like it will be everyone slobbering over The Last of Us 2. But I think Ghost of Tsushima was a significantly better experience. And Nioh 2.

Anyone with souls want to help me change my world tendency in shrine of storms? Would be much appreciated.. I’ve beat the whole level and while trophy chasing somehow I don’t have white tendency and all bosses are down.

I'd go with Ghost of Tsushima, I'm actually playing Last of Us 2 right now and though still great gameplay I can see why folks were a little put off. I have no prob with that angle, but it's a little thick at times. Nioh 2 is too niche probably but hear you there too. Demon's Souls is kind of forcing folks to "get good" :D as one of the launch titles

No matter the cutoff for me. Cyberpunk is the game of the year for sure. Demon's Souls, despite a remake, has to be a considerable technical and smooth as butter powerhouse.
