How in the hell do you do that if you draft Lawrence lol...all of the best defensive players will be off the board by the 2nd round pick......

They will still have many picks and money to spend in free agency. It’s not rocket science to understand what they could do with the difference between Dak’s salary and a rookie QB’s pay.

Most people on this site know you guys do this to try and rile people up. A lot of y'all are dumb but not stupid enough to not only think Jerry will let Dak go but actually go and get Lawrence and not improve this defense...you're not that slow....
getting scared your stats prescott might get tagged and traded. lmao. you're not that in love with the cripple are you.
paying lawerence less, and affording a better defense is the reason to trade the cripple. sheesh. slobber on.

Y'all said this crap with Andy Dalton...."Cowboys lose nothing...."...we have seen that be proven to be false.
I never said anything of the kind, I said Dalton was a good pickup for the QB2 and the price was right.

Don't "y'all" me in with that crap and since you brought it up, how would Prescott be doing with this mess of an OL right now?

I’d have to fire myself so that’s not happening. I simply mean I don’t really want them to pay him in Dallas. I have no problem with someone else paying him and him continuing his career.
Oh the typical "Well I own my own business...." retort I knew you would reply with. But fair enough. Hell if he can get out of Dallas its in his best interest if he wants to win. If he wants endorsements and stay losing year in and out then I guess this is a solid gig.....

By even suggesting the Cowboys should tag and then trade Dak, the haters are actually saying he's worth the number one overall pick and a huge contract. Just somewhere else, not here.

The pipe dream is that a rookie QB can win under the current conditions in Dallas; which is laughable. The Cowboys need to fill a lot of holes instead of replacing the one player that made them competitive at all through five games.

Didn't you see what he did? He didn't have a good offensive line himself.....but go off.

Its not rocket science......so you think teams are going to let their best players go in free agency? You know who's currently the best free agent out there for next offseason? Dak.....there is no one that can fix this defense. You don't buy marquee players. You DRAFT THEM. If you have faith that the Cowboys can find a Aaron Donald or Khalil Mack in the 2nd and 3rd of the draft then that's fine. I can't argue with stupidity....just can't.

I'm trying to figure out why would Dak sign the tag and allow them to trade him to the Jets lol.....and why would the Jets trade for him knowing he probably wouldn't re-sign with them? It makes no sense.

Ok can you actually think logical and stop with this imaginary "They'll have 40 million to spend on defense" crap you keep spewing? I mean damn you can't buy a defense. You can't go from the worst in the league to the top in the league without getting a game changer. Are you that naive to think they can buy a defensive player?

I expect lots of players to be cap cuts.

Yeah the Jaylon Smith's and Tyrone Crawfords of the world for sure. This defense needs a PREMIERE defensive player and they are never there in free agency.

That's the thing you can't scream this team needs defense but then have them avoid the position with the 1st round pick.

It's a poorly thought out attempt to dump on Dak again. However, it's a backhanded compliment to suggest another team would mortgage so much to acquire him, so it makes for enjoyable reading.

Agreed, I think it would take a QB at least a couple of years to get to where Dak is.

Most definitely. That's how poorly these fans gauge the QB position. You can have all the talent in the world but you don't just go to a team as a rookie and are as good as a guy who's been in the league or 4 or 5 years. Its moronic logic.

Dalton and Gilbert would love to have played behind the offensive line stats prescott had.
Remember the Atlanta game where shakey got sacked and went into shell shock for the rest of that season and half of the next.
lmao and how did super stats do at the first of this year, oh yeah won on a lucky onside kick with a better team.
the legend grows.

lol why are the cowboys a better destination than the Jets footballwise?

The jets have been further than the cowboys in the past 20 something years.

Have fun getting trashed for not putting up 40 points a game as a rookie because your defense is awful and you have a patchwork o line...

Getting a QB that does not cost a ton of money so that the Cowboys CAN get a defense!

We are TERRIBLE at free agency. All of those FA dollars will be wasted just like this year as Stephen goes bargain bin shopping
