Chargers have had a load of injuries this season and a Head Coach who will likely be sacked soon. They could have the pieces in place to be a contender next season especially after likely having a top 10 pick in 2021. Their issue is that they play the Chiefs twice a season and the Raiders are a tough divisional opponent. They were able to sign Bosa because they drafted Herbert on a rookie contract which bodes well for them going forwards.
Chargers have had a load of injuries? IN the NFL? Really? Everyone has a load of injuries lol.

They're missing Melvin Ingram.......hardly a "load of injuries". Unless you count Derwin James who's hurt every single year anyway.

Bosa's contract has nothing to do with Herbert. They let Rivers go, Melvin Gordon go and Russell Okung. That was plenty of money saved right there. Had absolutely nothing to do with Herberts rookie deal. Mind you they are also paying Tyrod Taylor 8 million a year to backup as well. Still was plenty of money left for Bosa and if they wanted to sign Herbert now they'd have plenty of money to do it if they could.

What helps the Chargers is they don't have many good players under big contracts. The only person they are paying is Bosa. They aren't paying Keenan Allen yet.

Good players become available every season and it's not always known in advance as circumstances change.

What good player was available this free agency that was a game changer? That took a bad defense like ours and took them over the top?

I think Washington is easily in the best position for this division going forward.. They just need to get the QB spot sorted.

Which is ironic. You guys are advising the Cowboys to do what the Commanders did...let their franchise QB walk.....which in return forced them to spend 100 million on Alex Smith and draft Dwayne Haskins and trade for Kyle Allen. But all they need to do is "get the QB spot sorted". Easy as cake lol.

If I were Lawrence I'd refuse to play for the Cowboys until they hired a real GM. Why let his career get wasted by the Jones' buffoons? Same with the Jets and a few other randoms that are horribly managed.
why cant you put your money where your keyboard is and lead by example. refuse to be a cowboy fan until they get a real GM

Right? lol. Just keep drafting them until you succeed. I mean. Every team in the league has a starting QB right? lol. Morons

I've sat here and watch these same morons all offseason say Dalton is in the same league as Dak and anyone can run this offense. They've been proven wrong and still keep up with this same crap.......and then they swear they can run this team better than Jerry lol. They'd be just as bad.

I like what they did outside of signing Alex Smith. That was their only failure..

Minnesota are mediocre while Washington got to draft Chase Young.. Yes.. They missed on the QB but it’s no big deal.. Just keep drafting them.

Washington’s arrow is pointing up.

I’d rather do what they did then just be mediocre like the Vikings.

Except the Vikings aren't mediocre because of Cousins its that mediocre head coach they have. The offense has been fine.

Commanders haven't been relevant since they had Cousins.

You do understand though that the Commanders are bad right now and they will have to become mediocre in order to get where they ultimately want to go? It doesn't just happen where you go from worst in the league to the best team in the league. I know it probably happens in Madden but in real life not so much.

You are advising them to keep sucking and keep drafting QB's....how long do you think their defensive line will be cheap like it is? How long do you think they will play on their rookie deals?

Washington was headed to mediocreville.. They made the right decision to move on.

Being relevant is meaningless. The Jones’s just have mastered how to sell it to suckers.

You don't know where they were headed because they've always stunk. Cousins was one of the better players on that team...he never had a defense and the best receiver he had was Pierre Garcon and Desean Jackson.....didn't have a running game.

You talk about them heading to mediocreville where the hell do you think the Commanders are headed? I guess you must really think they are good because they beat us by 30. Talk about being a sucker........

Or did what the Chiefs did and trade up for Mahomes . Have him sit for year behind Smith; not sign Smith, start Mahomes who leads them to a SB. I would try to get Lawrence but I don't think we have a shot at him as we may win two more games. With that in mind, signed Dak to a fair deal. Dak is better than any of these qbs coming out, imo except for Lawrence.

Sadly even if they drafted Lawrence, Jerry would figure out a way set this team on the usual path of mediocrity. That's what he does. But on the plus side those Lawrence jerseys will be flying off the shelf..

Ok sure.. They were headed for lots of success with Cousins then. Please..

They’d be lucky if they accomplished what Minnesota did which is meaningless mediocrity.

But you care enough to talk about them? Are you senile?

You said this:
"It makes no sense for the Jets to invest in a franchise quarterback? That’s about the only thing that makes sense with the 1st pick in the draft."

I said I don't know anything about them The Jets. And I don't care.

We aren't "talking about the jets". We're talking about Lawrence to the Cowboys. I mean...you can bring up the jets if you want. I stand by my reply to you.

Once again...in order to win a Super Bowl you have to get to mediocrity....you can't avoid it lol. "Mediocrity" seems to be word of the day for you you've said it nearly 100 times....

That assumes they all work out and this is not a deep draft for D.

I'm not assuming all 6 work out. But if 4 of the 6 do that's enough with the pieces we have for a good to great defense. I looked at Brugler's top 50 and it was pretty split between offensive and defensive players so there is enough defensive talent to get what we need. Also the people saying use the cap space on free agents are assuming the cap space means the team will hit on multiple defensive free agents. The Cowboys have a much better track record in the draft than free agency.
