Here's the real Crazy Stat! The Bengals, Bills, Browns, Cardinals, Chargers, Falcons, Lions, Panthers, Texans, Titans & Vikings have not won a Super Bowl in their history.

The Browns, Jaguars, Lions &Texans have never reached the Super Bowl.

Garrett was only the HC from 2011-2018. 9 years not 15. And he obviously wasn’t running the franchise. He was a puppet for Jethro and his Cheapskate Son.

And was one of the best hires our dysfunctional organization with more success during his tenure than the rest of the previous HC’s cumulatively this Century.

Our ownership had made some terrible decisions and hires this era. Garrett wasn’t the worst. They just held on to him longer mostly because he had more success than their other bad decisions.
Garrett was HC for 9 & 1/2 seasons. He took over midway thru 2010, then the 9 full seasons 2011-19.

He was interim HC in 2010. He wasn’t officially named HC until 2011. Regardless it refuted the post that stated he was for 15 years.

I wonder if other fan bases try as hard as we seem to to bias things in a way that makes their team look bad.

I heard a crazy stat this morning and verified it to be true.

Since 1996, there are only 4 NFC teams that have NOT made it to the Super Bowl. Yep, we are one of those. The other three are Washington, Detroit, and Minnesota. Only three haven’t made it to the conference title game.

How many times over would the GM have been fired if he were anyone else? We can keep blaming anyone we want. Players, coaches, etc... The proof is in plain sight.

Jones has been the GM since 1989.

Jerrah may not be a fantastic (or even a good) GM but I don't buy some of the chatter that he doesn't care about winning. Of course he wants to win. Successful individuals of his stature don't get to where they are in life without wanting to win. His problem is that he is hellbent on being the success story behind the team he owns. An understandable desire, sure, but one would hope that at this point of repeated failure they would realize the error of their ways. Posters on this forum can wish and complain all they want but he is never going to relinquish his position. All we can hope for is a perfect storm to come along and blow this team back into a Super Bowl. I know, hasn't looked promising so far, but life is full of surprises.

Crazy facts?

The Dallas Cowboys have never advanced to or beyond the conference title game without a player
that was coached by Tom Landry on the active roster.
That's TRUE.

Never realized it. Nice work.

Love this!!

Pretty much every team other than NE has been a "flash in the pan". With rare exception that is all the capped era allows........ The league is so much less interesting now b/c it lacks truly great football teams. The reward for drafting well and good coaching is now free agency which allows lesser teams to raid your talent. Never liked it. Imagine if they implemented this system in the workplace. It would be like the top sales person having to share their commissions with the worst sales person b/c its not fair that one person should have more than another. Thats the kind of idiocy at play in the NFL.

Fantastic post. I knew there were other people out there that could see this. The one thing we no longer see are great football teams. The 2013 Seahawks were probably one of them, and how long was that allowed to continue? Does it improve the league to rip them apart? Not in my opinion. Not only that, but out of division rivalries are all but a thing of the past. Oh yeah, remember defense?

Who is at fault?

The terrible GM...

Or the millions upon millions of fans who still buy what he's been selling for the past 25 years?
