Not just because it's virtual lock that Jackson, Campbell, Ingram and Dobbins will all be back for the game against us but also because of that defense. That defense is nasty. Even with a bunch of guys missing they held up pretty well against the Steelers. Our offense has not shown the ability to really make hay against a good defense that can get pressure up the middle. Our best hope is that the guys who were out come back weakened by Covid. But to my knowledge those guys have not actually tested positive.. rather they have just been felled by contact tracing. This does not bode well for our boys.. and that's not even accounting for what Dez might do to our pathetic secondary.
RonnieT24......Zeke blamed for offense inefficiency, and Jaylon Smith blamed for defensive inefficiency on this board......no matter what your eyes show you. Book it.

sure we would get beat without your insight as they are the better team but given that we had the lead against PB for 56 mins with Gilbert friggen grape and worse defense! the fact the ravens never had the lead says what? nothing:oldcouple:

id say you play the games because you dont know the outcome..so words matter not.upsets happen weekly , yearly, some shocking ones..

what was your point again?:huh:

By stating that we are trouble assumes that we were initially in it. We never were. Sure we may hang around score-wise but they'd separate from us the second half. Resistance is futile...

What's the benefit of winning at this point? We won't get a wild card. Only way into playoffs is by winning the division. If that, by some miracle, happens we'd be bounced immediately. Let's just tank. It's better in the long run.

Our defense gave the Steelers problems as well...so I wouldn't be super scared of them.... They haven't exactly been running the score up even with lamar jackson playing.... With that said, I'm still expecting a loss and hopefully a better seat on the tank train baby!

The Ravens are 3rd in the league in total offense and 3rd in rushing yards per game. The Cowboys are 24th in total yards given up and 32nd in the league in stopping the run. This looks like a massive mismatch. I can already see Jaylon Smith taking really bad angles and missing Lamar Jackson by 5 yards.

We are one game out of first and have an easy schedule. You don’t believe in Andy Dalton, the offensive line, Zeke Elliott and the defense to win three more games? You are not a true Cowboys fan.

I have never been a big buyer on Dalton.. and the offensive line is 4/5 gone.. which means Zeke can't really be a consistent factor and even if they were all healthy Moore wouldn't run him enough to make a difference anyway. I always want my team to have the best chance to win. And I want to be in the playoffs even if there are a bunch of so called fans cheering for losses for a better draft pick. I have no interest in watching my team lose. I don't care who is in the upcoming draft. The defense was holding up against the WFT until McCarthy and Fassel. got stupid in the 4th quarter. Let's hope they aren't still shaking their heads every time they walk past them this week.. The Ravens are the kind of team we don't match up well with.. They like to run the ball and because their passing game is limited they actually HAVE to. If we get the defense that played the first three quarters of Thanksgiving we'll be okay. If that 4th quarter bunch shows up we will be looking at another Cleveland situation.. 300+ yards on the ground..

Besides the Ravens and Steelers having superior teams, this amounts to a must win for them to stay alive for a WC spot. They will not make the same mistake the Steelers did in underestimating the Cowboys. The Ravens won't select this game as their worst effort of the season.

...I didnt see them winning this game since schedule came out. Dallas is not well coached enough to defend mobile runners. But its ok, the season has been a disaster. Play for pride, move on.

I believe I may have been misconstrued. I have never felt we were on equal footing with the Ravens and should expect a hard fought competitive game that could go either way. I fully understand that if they are on their game they are 20 points better than what we are currently rolling out there. What I was hoping for was that the Ravens' slump would continue and allow us to catch them in the midst of it and steal a win. But what I saw with their defense is that those guys are still gittin after it. They held Pittsburgh in check pretty much in both games they played them and they made the QB very uncomfortable. He was bailing out throwing the ball at a second and a half most of the day. That is what worries me most. They might hurt all three of our QBs and we might finish the game with Cedrick Wilson at QB.

When I said we are in trouble.. I was referring to being embarrassed and injured.. not just losing.

I believe right up until the game starts and I watch them play.

Easy schedule usually refers to a team with a better record than 3-8 and the NFC's worst point differential of 108.

I am a true Cowboys fan but I do not believe in Andy Dalton, anymore than CIN did, this makeshift OL, a RB that looks very tired but especially this defense to win anymore games.

This is a bad football team and it is not fun to watch them play but I do anyway looking for a spark from individual players that might help to build a contending team. This season was over when the team was averaging a record setting offensive output and 1-3. That's a flashback to the old NFL. Wanted to pick out the teams home for January, check the passing stats.

You may have missed my post last week.. where I looked up the playoff status of the best running teams vs the best passing teams .. In the last three years alone the top 10 rushing teams have occupied 26 of a possible 30 playoff spots. Then when I looked at the top passing teams.. last year alone 7 of the top 10 passing teams missed the playoffs. Maybe it's not just the OLD NFL.. Still I think it's unfair to characterize this season as "over" when it was setting records on offense but still 1-3. As we have seen the defense has shown it's at least capable of competing even though it took them 8 games to figure out how. If all the offensive guys were still in the lineup we would be jockeying for playoff positioning right now and could very well be on a 4-5 game win streak heading into B-more. Nothing occurs in a vacuum.

I am just being snarky. The Ravens are going to run the ball down our throats. They are also the one team that can actually match our wide receivers and they know Andy Dalton quite well. The one chance we have is they are getting a bunch a players off of the Covid list. Most of them will only be able to practice only once before the game. I am hearing that the earliest that Lamar will be cleared is Sunday. So who knows.
