Now wouldn’t that be something, Dak goes to the 49’ers and gets a couple rings in the process while beating Dallas a few times (maybe even in the playoffs) along the way thus leaving egg on a lot of Dak haters faces and giving SF the overall lead in Lombardi’s.

I would actually laugh if that happened, especially if it was the last chapter of Jerry’s legacy. Quite fitting.

Shannahan would be great for his career.

That team is young and hasn't been decimated by big contracts yet either so they can get by for a bit with paying Dak. Championship level though? I think their division is closing in on them quick and Seattle may finally recover from the Wilson deal.

LMAO...you could bring in a young Troy Aikman. Some of you guys are just rowing in sand. As long as Jerry is here. It won't matter who comes in. I sorta hope some who wish this get their wish. Which would be 10 more years of quarterback purgatory. How unfortunately some fans always forget Dallas past:facepalm:

When is the last time we used a premium pick on a QB? Maybe there is a correlation?

Look around the league. There is a lot of good QB's. They're all pretty similar with only a few truly elite and a few truly terrible starters.

I just don't see the Jones's as forward thinking enough. The old NFL says you have to sign Dak. They do everything so conservative.

The right move is to let him walk IMO. If we are terrible then that is fine. We can draft some quality players that might shift us from being in the middle.

I just think when Dak is signed it's going to take years to build a team good enough to win a Superbowl.

If you hit on a rookie QB then we could be a title contender as early as 2022 because of the money saved.

With the cap going down their could be some good players on the open market. What a time to have no money to spend with a team trending down.
Another lie b
i'm glad the cowboys were flexed out. people are tired of this garbage
me too, no desire to watch Dak’s twin Andy Dalton play like he has on a red jersey

If they could work out a trade now maybe they can get a 1st round pick for him. But they run the risk of getting nothing for him if they do not sign him to a long term deal. After 2021 if he is not signed the Cowboys will be forced to let him go into the free agent market, like Kirk Cousins.

Then the Cowboys will be forced to find a QB.

However, if they can rebuild the defense, even without Dak, they may be a better team. Right now they are too imbalanced towards the offense.

In order for that to happen, Dallas would actually have to make the playoffs...

I watched this play out with Romo. You guys didn't pay attention. Please pay attention this time.

There is going to be massive holes somewhere on this roster with a QB thats paid. You would like to see that be at positions like WR and RB where we aren't spending a ton of money.. Instead we chose to invest in those positions.

So with a Oline declining, a defense in severe need of talent, a RB who is terrible value, please do tell me how we will field a roster that we can win with.

Because by a lot of you guys standard Dak was UH MAZIN this year and we were a watermelon kick from 0-4.

I never see the point of these threads.

He is going NOWHERE.

Jones twins take the safe way.

No shot they go in any other direction unless Dak flat out refuses to stay.

Didnt he just settle into a home w a custom field? Doesnt sound like someone who doesnt intend to stay.

Jerry has put the team in a "start over" situation. Trading Dak will be good for both sides. I've mentioned that the Boys had a good draft this year and going to draft high next year and have 10 picks. After the 2021 season, the team can start the purge of some high priced veterans. I blame both Jerry and Dak's rep for not coming to terms in the past.

Well, hell, if we are creating whatever scenario we want, let's just trade Dak for Mahomes. Heads up.

Today we are sitting at pick 4. So I don't think I said anything that isn't a realistic thing. Unless you think getting a 1 for Dak is not realistic which I could agree with.

If you fans think Jerry or this team is in a rebuild you’re out of your mind.

They will lock up Dak and keep the offense l together. Defense will get 3-4 new starters

That's correct, Jerry is known for keeping players too long, that's a fact. I'm just stating what should happen.

Even got Marcus Spears turning on you.....I think Dak is loyal to the Cowboys but he really should look at other teams if he has other options....49ers healthy are going to look good. If Brady calls it quits...Buccaneers will look good.....

Any player who wants to WIN, and win a SB needs to leave this country club.

Anyone else who wants to be a star, social networking celebrity, stick around and stay with Jerry
