Wasn't Gilbert kind of an unknown quantity for them though? I don't think Dak would have won that game.

7 - 5 ?????? Seriously, I don't think we would of been any better off if he was still playing. This is a real bad team that would of found a ways to lose games with Dak in the back field. Hell, we had NO business winning that Atlanta game but we did so the way I see it Dak was 1-4 when he went down. So how are you getting to 7-5???????????????????????????????????????????????????????

..Dak was putting up 35+pt games, augmented with 400+ yds. Carried the defense every game. Did you just watch the highlights?

Dak were still playing we'd be in first place and some analyst would still be picking us to be in the Party. Not to mention Cee Dee and the others would be unstoppable by now. Of course Dak would still be putting up 40 just to win :facepalm:

He was a journeyman. Being unknown doesn't make a guy who had never gotten an NFL start in the 6 years he has been out of college a good QB. And realistically, the reason the Cowboys stayed close wasn't because the offense was stellar with Gilbert, it was because the defense had a surprisingly strong game. The offense likely would have scored more than 19 points with Dak at QB.

Yeah we got robbed on the Gallup PI call. The refs also hosed on the PI against Lamb against AZ I think it was and another one against Philly I believe. There was also one against Pitt as I recall. We have been hosed by the refs on a half a dozen PI calls and non/calls this season.

I think the Steelers were playing down to the competition. They are a much better team now.

So, Atlanta gets credit for the win despite the fact they lost, and despite the Cowboys handing them first half points after turnovers, and despite screwing up the onside kick? That's nonsense. If Dallas loses because they screw up, that means they didn't do what they needed to win and the other team did. Why would the same applies in reverse? Also, every other team gets credit for wins even when they were helped by mistakes by their opponents, so why wouldn't Dallas?

Maybe, and frankly we don't know how any game would have played out if Dak were in it. There are some that had Dak played and we sustained drives or put up points the defense might have been more rested. Ultimately we are guessing at all of it.

If Dak would not have gotten hurt, we would have won every game he played. We would have led the NFL in wins, on our way to the SB.

(and then the dak fans woke up).

If Dak was playing I’d say Dallas would still be in contention for the division. But I wouldn’t go as far to say they would have ran away with the division. The Cowboys were a missed onside kick away from starting 0-4 and that was with Dak. The defense is so horrid even Patrick Mahomes would struggle to get this team to 8-8.

We were 1-3 with him so I would think we would be around 5-7 or so. This is not a good team and Dak can't do anything about the awful defense.

What? Dak don't need no stinking defense, haven't you read about his greatness? He could have a worse defense than the Cowboys have right now and still he would defeat any team he played against...the kid is a legend.
