+1 Been asking the same question but I'm hearing he may be on a couple of teams' shortlist for HC. Of course, this could be his agent talking/leaking info. My guess, he def wants to get back in the league even as a DC.

I would be pleased with Lovie Smith, Lewis or Haslett as DC. I'm not a huge fan of them being the HC but I would be happy with any of the 3 being the defensive coordinator.

HC contracts aren’t like player contracts
They get paid if you fire them

Lovie only prefers to blitz when his defense is in red zone. and he prefers Not to blitz, and his bltizes are not imaginative at that.

He basically shut down Brian Urlacher's blitzing skills in preferring more the Middle LB dropping in coverage more.
and Urlacher is probably the best

there are more 4-3 DCs i much rather have than Lovie;

If Marvin can teach college kids, hes shown he can dumb it down enough for our bunch. We know he can get as complicated as needed once they understand the basics.

No more re-treads. There's a reason these guys get fired and bounce around the league. Same with Greg Williams, Marvin Lewis, Wade Phillips, etc.

..Lovie reminds me of those that had so-so descent years, but eventually averaged out to mediocre at best.
