I have said that this draft isn't so loaded that drafting a little lower isnt going to hurt us like a draft loaded with game changers. So if we win another game I wont toss in my sleep.
I dont disrespect your view it has honor

If true, then there is no hope next year either. This team is losing

But I don't believe that. With a good draft and a healthier roster, this team can be much better next year.

Losing games in a lost season maximizes opportunities for next year when everybody starts 0-0.
Common Sense!

I just don't get it. Why would anyone root for a loss???? Yeah, yeah, higher draft pick, but that's not a guarantee. How can anyone watch their team and hope that they lose????
Because they believe in the concept of team being high draft pick collectors!

It's the Dak haters who want a top pic for an unproven rookie QB.

I would always play for a win. And, yes, I've coached a couple of meaningless games, but I coached to win. I would never give my players any less and I wouldn't expect them to give me any less.

I could see the reason and desire behind that in any other league besides the NFL. This is a long term game.

I believe you said you were the coach of your local Peewee League team, the Mighty Giants (I think that was the team you said you coached). And I get that you want the kids to win, to teach them important life lessons like never giving up and always give it 100% but it's just not the same in the NFL.

At least that's my opinion.

It is kind of funny to see those rooting for loss squirm around this with reasons why. Dodging the obvious trying to defend their fanhood.
But I do got to hand out to you, you actually publicly state that knowing it makes no bit of difference for the actual team and what they do, and only brings criticism for the obvious

These arguments over a meaningless football game is pretty funny, in and of itself.

I hate losing, but I hate being mediocre for years on end much more, and thats what this franchise has been all about for far too many years. Never good enough to win the whole enchilada, but not bad enough to be in a position to get pieces that might get them over the hump.

Once again, this team isn't quite bad enough to get players that could possibly make a huge difference. Its a bit infuriating to some, especially to those who want to get rid of the 'mediocre' stigma, and the win yesterday didn't help much. Me personally, I'm on a fence where I think it would be great to get the higher picks, but I don't trust this front office to make the best decisions.

Have you ever watched someone doing something stupid and you laugh when they get hurt. Its kinda the same thing. All the dumb decisions this team makes there are times where I dont root for them to lose but I dont really care if they win. Im so fed up with Nolan and want him fired and I dont think they should pay Dak 35 mil. Kinda fed up with Jerrys choice for head coaches and how he doesnt value defense. Im fed up with this team holding onto to Tyron Smith 3 years too long. There is so much wrong with this team and the coaches they deserve to lose.

You don’t set out at the year wanting to lose. It only happens when you’ve lost 3 All Pros on the OL, your pro bowl QB and the defense is horrible.

The coaches and players will always play to win. They are fighting for their job. But for me as a fan I only take joy when I feel we actually are playing well. Today I don’t think we played well at all. The Bengals just gave that game away.
The bengals are a very bad team. Have been for some time. Not just because of injuries or covid or new coaches.

Have you watched them play all year?

Seeing the loser fans cry like babies because we won is a glorious thing.

.......but not quite as sad as the Dakota fanatics that have to admit that Dalton did well in filling in for the “ I want 40 million dollar boy”

Don’t ever settle or overpay for mediocrity at the most important position in football

What do you really care. Lol

I mean honestly.

as a fan I’m more bothered by the fact that the cowboys aren’t a good football team. Than I am in whether other fans want them to beat the bengals in a meaningless game.
Well this is a public form where people/fans express their feelings of players and other fans thoughts. We could literally say “who cares” about every topic on this site because we have no control over 99% of it.
