Very high on both Farley and Bolton. I would be very happy with this class.

Not sure if you've looked at MM draft history as Packers HC but he spent a ton of picks ( many high rounds ) on secondary. Considering our DB issues and how he talks about his Packer teams consistently as top 10 in turnovers, I see him going CB very early.

Sidebar nugget: Read a tweet this morning from a draft guru saying the draft is lacking top/blue-chip DT and S's.

Been hearing lately the Safety class is not looking great, where their may just be one safety taken within the top 50. We know the DT class doesn't have a single top end talent, but if we stay in this so called hybrid scheme, which MM wants, there appear to be several good NT's to chose from.

An impact plug and play corner could solidify the position at a very low, controllable rate for several years. A rookie may have some growing pains, but could develop into a quality starter by season's end. Anyone of the top 3 corners could fit the bill.

The two things we need (and have needed), Safety and Interior Defensive Linemen, and of course this is a bad year for both positions.

I would try to go Safety relatively early, identify the guys who can actually play, like a Moehrig (TCU) or Bolden (Miami) on Day 2, and then IDL throughout Day 3. I just want run-stuffing 1Tech's with violent hands and huge lower bases ,along with a willingness to hold their gap. We have to lose this Rod Marinelli fascination with quick step penetrating 3Tech's who literally offer nothing else. I get the desire to find interior pressure, but most of the times those guys are one-trick ponies and kill you in the run game. Aaron Donald is an anomaly. We need to find a few Domata Peko's, lunch pale guys.

I would take this draft in heartbeat also. Bolton from what I read is a very good lb. I am torn between taking Farley or Parsons first in the draft. I like them both.

Agree with your thinking about type of 1 Tech we need. One of those big run stuffers who are hard to move off a spot, can occupy multiple blockers. These types of DT's are not taken high in the draft as they are more two down players who offer little as pass rushers. Could address the need late day 2, early day 3.

As it stands now, our 2nd rd pick is almost like a late 1st rounder. Outside of maybe Moehrig, I cannot see Safety being best player on top of their board at that juncture. Maybe if they obtain an additional 2nd rounder, but more likely late day 2, early day 3 like DT.

You would think these two positions also get some sort of free agent help even before the draft process.

Phidarian Mathis. Great at stuffing the run and taking on double teams. Would allow Micah Parsons room to navigate back there. ;)

Take this in a heartbeat.......

I love Farley. He's a hell of a corner and I would rather be taking him at #13 than #4. I still don't like the idea of a guy with his injury history in the first round, though. An ACL is one thing but he has had some back issues and those never seem to go away.

That's a very fair argument to make in regards to Fairley. Durability/availability is a concern.

I obviously don't agree.

He's not a perfect prospect by any means.

Very good size, elite trigger, love his willingness to deliver a strike. Solid in zone coverage. Long strider who can make up ground.

Can be overly aggressive in closing, and angles are slightly off. Man coverage needs to get better.

I like him as a Strong Safety who will not kill you when you have to drop him back in single high.

He did have a really bad game a few weeks back, no denying that... and it's reasons like that he might be available in the 3rd /4th round.

He's had way more good games. His physical tools are 1st round caliber.
