This poll is one of several being created to show current fan opinions about Cowboys players returning for the 2021 season.

You can use whatever qualifiers you want in your posts, but the poll does not care about your qualifiers!

The damage has already been done. Cowboys have to ride out the contract now.

this exactly. It’s a trick question really...if you asked it I want him on the team on a reasonable contract I’d say yes. If you say do you want him here on his current contract I’d say no.
Since the contract is already signed..moot point

yes but if he looks like he's continuing to deteriorate after the first 4-6 games cut bait.......I tend to think he'll come back next year hungrier like he was in 2016, and with a hopefully intact OL he gets some respect back, but all we can do is wait and see.....we dang sure cant go into next season with just Pollard and having to either draft or sign a decent backup for him! Now if a team is willing to trade for Zeke then its a different story perhaps......

If we can find a trade partner for a 1st or a 2nd, wave bye, bye.

There's been about 3 quality Zeke games this season and 10 more where he looked like a UDFA-level power back.

He will never get faster from here on out and it's hard to see how he will become motivated again after phoning this season in. Cut him, replace him with a street free agent, and save whatever money you can.

I think there should be another option stating "I don't really care much if he's back or not."

Nevertheless, the mistake was already made of signing him to an overpaid contract. (Sigh)

Why are people crying about a player’s money, when they earned it, they’re not going to your jobs stating you don’t deserve your pay?

Well what I would do as HC, is bench him for a few games, and see if that motivates him.
Play pollard more, give him some games as starter and see how he does.
The problem though is more in play design and blocking schemes, and play calling, and # of carries.

Good men of the swamps and seas, and you bland suburbans, some with mullets.

For the money Zeke and Dak are not cost effective.
Our defense is on the ropes and need the money for 2 secondaries and 1 beast up front.

Listen to what I say. You can't go wrong, yer right on there govnor.

Unbelievable!

You see how much Dak's injury hurt the team and showed everyone who truly carries the team, but yet here you are saying Dak is not worth getting paid? Yet, everyone else that has gotten paid has not truly lived up to their paychecks, have they?

You're barking up the wrong tree homie. Dak deserves to get paid. Not $40 million but somewhere in the low $30s. It's the rest who have gotten paid whom you should question.

You believe this team would be better off paying an Andy Dalton around $20+ million...or drafting a rookie QB in the 1st or 2nd round? :muttley::facepalm: Think again.

I guess so, but I’m still not a fan of signing RB’s to big money contracts like we did. I’d rather invest it in a good offensive line.

Is it worth guaranteeing 12.4mil more to Zeke to get him for the next *2* seasons?

Since 2021 is already guaranteed, and 2022 will be March 2021, that's the basic question.

If your answer is no, then you don't want him here next year.

My answer is no.

Poor production per carry and per target, fumbles a lot, *and* the arrow has trended down since his rookie season.

Is he supposed to get better in his 6th and 7th seasons?
