Zeke hasn't been worth the draft pick or the money. I'd rather draft backs in the 3rd-6th round, run 'em for 5 years, then draft new ones.

Pay for the QB, Good O-line, have a #1 at WR and and build a Top 5 Defense.

No, we wasted Zeke’s prime years catering to the mediocre QB. We also don’t know the state of the OL anymore because of catering to the mediocre QB. Zeke was drafted for Romo, remember.
:hammer:The Cowboy Anti-Christ Prescott worked his magic wasting a Superbowl roster for the past 5 years.
Now some want to pay him mega-bucks and give him another group of new players to burn away.

Christian McCaffrey 5 feet 11 " 205 lbs. Tony Pollard 6 foot 216 lbs. I think the build is very similar, I think the game is very similar. Who is to say Tony can't be close to McCaffrey. Remember everyone said McCaffrey would break like a twig in the NFL because he was too small. Outside of this year he has been very durable. It will be interesting if Zeke can't go again this weekend what kind of numbers Pollard can put up. It would also be also interesting to see what Pollard could do if we had a good line in front of him.

The Zeke we see now is headed to being a Jerome Bettis clone. Power and just a bit of speed. Only way he is breaking a long one is if he is in the clear and has a head start over NFL CB's about to run him down.

Imagine thinking Zeke was running like a generational talent for any 4 year stretch of his career.

Hint: He wasn't.

And please don't quote me and post empty calorie metrics like rushing titles based on volume.

Anyway check this from years ago

"As we stand and breath nothing but the Cowboys stuffing Zeke with volume and inflating his counting stats points to Zeke being a transcendent talent."

A guy you can run for lots of snaps has some extra value. But not a tremendous amount.

Zeke ran like a generational talent for 1 year. Rookie season. Since then, no. And the slide since then has been steady. RBs generally have poor longevity, and Zeke's looks shorter than most. Sad.

So many players have flashed and fizzled for us in the last few years.

Are you talking about The Ranch? Yes a number of players posted there, including me. As in any forum including this one it had its share of brilliant and knucklehead posters and those in between that characterization.

I remember a board called The Ranch, but I'm not sure if we're talking about the same forum.

It's tough when both the front office and the fan base are both delusional.

At least usually you can align with one group who has their head on their shoulders.

This has been a catastrophe. Been on an island for 5 years.

I knew I was right. And here we are.

Too bad Houston already traded a superstar for a RB. Hopefully the front office calls up the Jets and can hoodwink them for Zeke. A guy can wish!
