Andy Dalton is the equivalent of Steve Beuerlein

Beuerlein was an excellent QB in smaller doses, but not for big doses. The rest of his career, he was what time showed he was. A decent starter, who can win you some games.

Kind of like Andy Dalton.

Hey, I like Andy Dalton and I’m not in any way meaning to disrespect him. And I’m not saying Dak is Troy Aikman But Dalton’s not the future here. He’s a solid mid-level type starter that is going to make some good money next year as the starter for another team. His price tag will be too high for us to keep him as a backup and unless I’m dead wrong (which I very well could be!) I think Dak will be signed to a 4-5 year deal this offseason.

Andy Dalton is the 2020 version of Steve Beuerlein.

I could certainly be wrong. All I know is you better have a better than average QB to win a championship these days. I think Dak can do that. But I understand your view. Just disagree. But hey we can certainly agree that we want the Cowboys to win some playoff games for a change.

Two seasons out of 18 where he only won half of his games and had more picks 198 than TD 164 which means he had a lot more bad years than those two go ones. You've proved how bad you are at assessing QB since you're a Prescott hater. Oh and the year after winning Super Bowl XVIII he was a backup QB.
