It means I'm a fan that doesn't drink the koolaid. And you're still here, what does that say about you? It says you're the same as the rest of us.

Ok man, if you don’t see it the same way, that’s all good. I’m not sure how it wouldn’t be bad news for the team to not be responding to the coaching, and the coaches to not be getting better. The team not improving and the team not getting more discipline seem like a bad sign for the future to me.My response directly contradicts your opinion and borrows from several other previous Zone posters shared ideas regarding to tank or not.
I see these as empty wins. I also see an extreme roster turnover especially with regard to defensive personnel.
Combine that with a new DC(and maybe even OC too) and most likely new defensive position coaches and you basically get winning for the here and now but whose ultimate outcome will not end in a SB win.
So with all this new found temporary improvement I am just wondering how winnng one game at a time now benefits this team next year when half of the players here now and coaching staff will not be here next year?
Or is this temporary feel good with players and coaches that wont be here more beneficial than higher picks in each round?
Sorry, I totally disagree.
Just my opinion.
Tell me again how many playoff wins we have in the last 25 years. Don’t cherry pick one season to make your weak point. I can go beyond the Jets if you want. Let’s try Cleveland. Are you prepared to tank far as many years as Cleveland sucked to get those high draft picks to finally have a somewhat decent team? This has been covered as nausium .
The Jets are the Jets. They will do Jet things.
There's a reason the worse teams get the higher draft slots.
We went from 3-13 to 13- in one year with high draft picks.
So......getting a high draft pick was the goal and a division title and a playoff berth is the consolation prize?
Call it absurd but the Cowboys didn't just win three in a row...they steadily improved and are now peaking at precisely the right time.
sorry busts happen all over the draft as does finding good to even elite players, rogers late first, brady 6th round, mahomes ad other 10-15 range , tj watt late first Donald mid first, we got lamb at what 17 etc etc i could go on all day..you dont need to be top 5 to get good player or there would only be one round..what ridiculous world do you live in that you ignore Busts in the top 5 on regular basis and only truly horrible teams typically pick that high on regulars basis, how is it most of the 32 teams stay loaded with talent found all over the draft..??Not true. The higher you pick in each round can better your team tremendously.
right after looking around the league and see the jest and cinci not tank, last year MIA pushing hard at the end and still they think tanking is true thing..its not its only used by fans rooting for their bad teams to be first in the draft..Hilarious "fans" actually want the team to lose.

However, I do get how a higher pick helps the talent level though, so I do get where you’re coming from there. I’m just glad the team is showing much improvement.
No worries. This draft had zero premium blue chip defensive prospects. We would be reaching for a good pick up on D in the top 5.
Team tank was always going to disappoint as outside of landing a QB or the top OT, we were not going to be getting true value there.
KOing Philly, with a chance to KO Garrett and the NYG, followed by watching the WFT choke away the division is an incredible, rare triple play.
We win the division and simultaneously taste all our rivals bitter tears.
The hope was to get a haul in a trade down but now they'll just have to stay and pick. The value should be fine though.
I think that the idea of tanking is real, there's just no evidence of it happening, in my opinion. And if there were signs, it would most likely be benching players for less talented. I can't imagine there being any reason for this team because they're playing better; something to build on.right after looking around the league and see the jest and cinci not tank, last year MIA pushing hard at the end and still they think tanking is true thing..its not its only used by fans rooting for their bad teams to be first in the draft..
Yes they do. There isn't a separate category that fits the mythical "garbage time."Garbage time stats don’t count
@Rockport live it up buddy. I still hope we draft a QB and save 40 million of cap space. So happy you’re miserable over a Cowboys win. You’re on the Losers team.

Its time to face reality my friend. You said the Jets are the Jets and they will do Jet things. Guess what, the the Cowboys are the Cowboys and they will do Cowboy things, so you might as well just sit back and cheer them on. Tanking just does not work in the NFL.
