Yeah but look now. Only 5 guys have 1k yards.....its still a exclusive club that gets there especially consistently.
Could very well be 10 by the end of the season and would be more if some guys carried the ball more but due to coaching, play calling, other players on the team, etc they don’t. If this wasn’t a passing league, and was more run heavy like it used to be, there would be a more 1K rushers.

Kamara has 50 less attempts than zeke and only 5 less yards, Chubb has 3 less games than zeke and over 20 more yards, Aaron Jones has 40 less carries and 80 more yards, Ronald Jones has 50 less carries and only 37 less yards. I could go on and on with guys who have played better than zeke and provide much more value but some of them won’t get 1K yards due to a variety of reasons so zeke’s panty lickers make t seem like they are all inferior to him.

zeke getting 1K means nothing, his value sucks

According to whom?

According to no one. Derrick Henry and Dalvin Cook are the only 2 guys who will get it and have it already.
Which btw, Dalvin Look has only done it ONCE which was this year....and Henry has only did it Twice lol...but its suppose to be the standard lol.

I don't care about his value. That's for Jerry and Stephen to dictate. Even if 10 backs do get it that's 10 backs out of what? There are 32 teams. 32 RB1's....then most teams have another back up or two. Over 70 running backs and 10 of them get 1k. Its a exclusive club and no running back has seen more turnover at offensive line than Zeke and has as many yards as he does......

You know as well as I that it's really not about Pollard .. it's about hatred for Zeke.. It's not rational but hatred seldom is. If it wasn't Pollard it would be somebody else.. Basically it's anybody but Zeke for them..
Wrong again Ronnie, for most people it’s about what’s best for the team and zeke and his contract aren’t it. I know you have a man crush on zeke but some of us expect a guy that held out with two years left on his contract, while demanding to be paid as the highest at his position, to live up to the standards he set for himself with or without a top 5 O line.

Hope he has a good game Sunday and eclipses 1,000 yards. It will be a great milestone for the team, particularly the OL and Philbin. Finishing strong with a win (4 in a row) is really what this team needs for a positive segway into 2021.

I'd be impressed if he did this on 200 carries. Needing 250 carries to get to 1K is not impressive at all.

AND THERE IT IS! You don’t care about his value! Well some of us do because we want whats best for the team.

So you don’t care about players underperforming their contracts, you have no problem with Jaylon, Crawford, don’t care if Jerry sets a new QB salary record paying Dak. None of that bothers you. Apparently it doesn’t bother Jerry either which is why this team sucks so bad.

According to people who know football.

63 yards per game impresses you?

Zeke is averaging 66.9 .. and I don't know anybody named "people who know football." Teams don't run the ball nearly as much as they used to so truth be told you actually have to watch the games to see what a guy is doing for his team to accurately gauge his impact. Sheer numbers only tell a portion of the story. Zeke has had a down year.. Nobody is denying that.. However if he is able to close out the season with a string of pretty productive games that's a good sign for us.

Not at all. I never cared about contracts. I don't like Tyrone Crawford on any contract. I don't care if he got the minimum.

Lawrence is overpaid. I don't care. I like Lawrence the football player.

I don't care what Dak gets paid. He's a great football player. I want great football players no matter the price. If he's getting the vet. minimum I'm good with it.

When I am debating or critiquing players I don't care about their contract. Now if you want to have a contract about salary cap then we can. But quite frankly, Zeke isn't costing much against the cap this year.

Its funny though people try to talk about the cap and don't even understand how it works. Just because Dak would sign a big deal doesn't mean it will cost 40 million against the cap lol.

1,000 yards isn't what it used to be. 62.5 yards a game. Very Troy Hambrick-ish.

Ehhh...4 yards a carry is 4 yards a carry. You give me 4 yards a carry on average and I will move this offense.

The impressive part about this is this is Zeke's worst year of his career. Its the worst offensive line he's had....he hasn't had consistent QB play....under the circumstances....1k yards is impressive in that regard.

And what's crazy is this is arguably better than his 2017 year after his rookie campaign......I keep saying its the worst year of his career but it actually might not be.

Who on earth doesn’t care if a player lives up to their contract? Especially a chode like zeke who sat out with 2 years left and refused to show up to training camp until he was paid as the highest RB ever? You’re damn right I expect him to play like it after something like that.

You do know contracts are based on past and expected future performance, right? You also understand how much it hurts a team when a player takes up a good chunk of salary cap space and doesn’t perform up to their level of pay, right?

You are something else.

Like I stated above, if you want to discuss the salary cap we can do that. But when I'm talking players I judge them based on their play on the field. What Jerry paid them is irrelevant to the discussion.

I am able to talk about Tyrone Crawford without bringing up his contract. He stinks. Contract or not. If he played for free I'd want to upgrade him.

When I judged Dak I did it based on how he played. If I did it based on contract than I would've accepted anything he gave us. But I didn't and neither did anyone else. No one on this site was content with Dak throwing for 200 yards and 1 touchdown a game when he was the worst paid player in the league.

Lol, like no other RB has is that bad or worse. It will be very interesting to see the final offensive line rankings and hear the excuses when our O line isn’t nearly as bad as people make it seem and other RB’s had better stats with worse O lines.

I can see Ronnies excuse already “zeke made the O line look better than it was, that’s why they were ranked as high as they were” :lmao:

Well you’re a simpleton and don’t see the entire picture, just like Jerry. Don’t know what to tell you, almost every job is based on performance and if you don’t earn your paycheck you get fired. In a professional athletes case, there are millions of people watching not just one boss, so when a player doesn’t earn their paycheck (especially in the salary cap era) they are going to be widely criticized.

You are one of the few exceptions who don’t care about value. Are you sure you’re initials aren’t JJ?

What is the measuring stick, ypc-wise, for a team to run the ball? 4. What is 1,000 divided by 250? 4.

As someone mentioned, Zeke has had a down year. Does that mean he's done? Not necessarily. For example, Emmitt had the monster 1,773 yard season in 1995, followed by 1,204 and 1,074 yards. The next two years? 1,397 and 1,203. Guess he wasn't washed up after the 1,074 yard season, eh?

Tiki Barber went from 258 to 1006 then down to 865, then after that 1,387, 1,216, 1,518, 1,860 and 1,662 yards. Guess he wasn't washed up either.
And oh, before Zeke's "but his fumbles are up" is brought up, Barber had 36 fumbles between 2000 and 2004, then despite more carries per season they went down to 5, 1 and 3. He fixed the problem. So it can be done.

Point is just because Zeke has had a down year, since he has had excellent years before that, it's certainly possible this year will be the exception.

I just don't get the dissing of Zeke because of one poor, by his previous standards, season. Actually I do get it, the team is not very good this year, guaranteed a losing season, record-wise, and not any real hope of a SB this year, and it's easy to pick out one player and make him the scapegoat. That's easily done, not an excuse, but at least we know why....
