Well you’re a simpleton and don’t see the entire picture, just like Jerry. Don’t know what to tell you, almost every job is based on performance and if you don’t earn your paycheck you get fired. In a professional athletes case, there are millions of people watching not just one boss, so when a player doesn’t earn their paycheck (especially in the salary cap era) they are going to be widely criticized.

You are one of the few exceptions who don’t care about value. Are you sure you’re initials aren’t JJ?
Simpleton? Have a good day.

1,000 yards means nothing. It used to back when they played 14 games, but not now.

You only have to average 62.5 yards a game.

Next year it will only be 58.8 yards when they go to a 17 game schedule. People still use that same measuring stick when no longer applicable. Old habits die hard.

In fairness to the RBs today, they get less carries as the league has become more and more pass happy.

Not sure what the mix of running and receiving yards should be the benchmark. Maybe something like 125 total yards/game including running and receiving.

I think Emmitt's rushing record is safe for a long while.

You guys say this but don't acknowledge that people are still having a hard time getting 1k yards.....less than 30% of RB1's are doing it.

Lol, like no other RB has is that bad or worse. It will be very interesting to see the final offensive line rankings and hear the excuses when our O line isn’t nearly as bad as people make it seem and other RB’s had better stats with worse O lines.

I can see Ronnies excuse already “zeke made the O line look better than it was, that’s why they were ranked as high as they were” :lmao:

Dude your obsession with me is starting to creep up there with your obsession with Zeke.. Get some help brother..

That’s because they’re not getting as many carries and teams aren’t as focused on stopping the run.

They're not getting as many carries because everyone is not capable of getting the ball 20+ times a game. The ones that can do though.

We are all members of the brotherhood of Man. Whether we acknowledge it or not. Unless you're a girl.. which might explain a few things with you..
I actually didn't even think of that. He might be a female.......or she might be a female.....

Actually it's even simpler than that. RBs don't get as many carries because the league keeps making it easier and easier to pass the ball.. Defenders are being forced to play two hand touch with QBs and receivers and the refs will only call holding on an o-lineman if it's blatantly obvious or the lineman plays for the Cowboys.. Most teams are 60/40 pass run these days .. Still like I have posted several times.. being in the top 10 leaders in running the ball is about a 90% guarantee of making the playoffs.. But the ex-QB talking heads keep peddling the "it's a passing league" narrative so their home boys get paid..

While I agree that's part of it as well but mostly most of these guys aren't full time backs. Full time backs don't come around very often IMO. Everyone isn't capable of getting 20 carries a game. I'd probably say there's like 5 or 6 of those guys in the league right now.

Zeke is averaging 66.9 .. and I don't know anybody named "people who know football." Teams don't run the ball nearly as much as they used to so truth be told you actually have to watch the games to see what a guy is doing for his team to accurately gauge his impact. Sheer numbers only tell a portion of the story. Zeke has had a down year.. Nobody is denying that.. However if he is able to close out the season with a string of pretty productive games that's a good sign for us.
Zeke has been horrible this year. Just horrible. And I was the guy who wanted to both draft and re-sign him.

If you can't see how awful he's been, I can't teach you this game.

Not at all. I never cared about contracts. I don't like Tyrone Crawford on any contract. I don't care if he got the minimum.

Lawrence is overpaid. I don't care. I like Lawrence the football player.

I don't care what Dak gets paid. He's a great football player. I want great football players no matter the price. If he's getting the vet. minimum I'm good with it.

When I am debating or critiquing players I don't care about their contract. Now if you want to have a contract about salary cap then we can. But quite frankly, Zeke isn't costing much against the cap this year.

Its funny though people try to talk about the cap and don't even understand how it works. Just because Dak would sign a big deal doesn't mean it will cost 40 million against the cap lol.
100% agree. It's so annoying reading what fans think players should get paid when they don't have all the details or are paying them.

I was thinking about this when Cooper got HIS thou.

Offenses are more complex and diverse these days. We're going 4 and 5 deep on WR's. 3 deep on TE's. 3-4 deep on RBs. Or more! Makes it hard to get touches.

Good example is zeke 2016 production verses with Pollard. Just last week people were complaining Brown was taking snaps from others.

Now....imho...zeke AND the whole offense have had a down year. A thou season ISN'T a huge big deal for alleged elite RB. But there are other factors involved here that make it different from the old days.
