Better coaching always seem to happen to the guy that has the great QB. I did a long post on this not that long ago....HOF QBs win, not the HOF coaches who are in the HOF because of their QB...lol
I agree. It just sounded like everyone was trashing Belichick.

He isn't a Jag & I think he could coach just about any team to a better record.

I said I may be missing someone.......and Stabler was put in the HOF like 35 years after he retired. He isnt in the same ball park as most of the "Greatest," QBs that played the game.
And Parcells falls right into the other category of SB winning coaches ive talked about.... GREAT DEFENSES.

Think it was a coincidence teh Giants had what many consider the greatest defensive player ... ever?

Ken Stabler was a great QB who should have been in the Hall of Fame years earlier. Parcells won championships with defense and ball control. He needed his QBs to play mistake free football and let his D win games.

I bet it sure was nice having LT playing each week. Not just LT, but that Giants defense in the 80s was seriously legit.

We can agree to disagree, Stabler was gritty, but his numbers arent great. IN his SB winning season he played very well, but anyone that has more INTs than TD passes is not GREAT IMO.

Gibbs had 2 championships in strike shortened seasons.....so fighting through a long season and playoffs was nullified.....it gave Theisman and Williams a chance...

None of the QBs during the 70s had great numbers. Ken Stabler had one of the highest completion percentages of any of the great QBs of the 70s. He was a terrific QB who had to go up against those great Miami and Pittsburgh teams who combined for 7 Super Bowl appearances during that decade.

I commented that if a head coach doesn’t have a solid consistent QB they’re not winning. I never said you needed one of the great all-time QBs to get it done. You need to go back and read my comments. I’m sure I could pick 20 QBs I would take over Ken Stabler but he was a great QB. I grew up watching NFL football in the early 70s and saw him play. For Belichick to have the success he’s had the past two decades he needed the goat at QB.

As a former upstate New Yorker, I am absolutely loving how the BUF-NE tables have turned. My only regret is that it couldn't have happened years earlier when Brady was still there.

Screw the Pats. If they put up any kinda fight I win a cool 500.00 in my fantasy league. Instead they collapse and Josh Allen gets pulled early. Allen is the truth though.
