Is the Bob Lily Award criteria based on the calendar year, and not just the time during a Cowboys football season?

It says for the year 2020. It's a team award and the organization sees everything that goes on behind the scenes as well as on the football field.

What exactly did he achieve in his short season? I'm somewhat on board with the rest, but fail to see where he fits the bill for the first part. He contributed to the 1-3 start, and definitely contributed to last seasons crappy 8-8 finish.

He probably lead by example. The example could be wearing his mask along with street clothes more than anyone else on the side lines, during PT or even in the hallways around campus.

I don’t care what anyone says but it shows how the people in the building, his teammates, and coaches feel about Dak. His performance or skillset might not what some people want but you can’t discredit how classy Dak is. His intangibles are off the charts and there is no debating it.
