He's good enough to keep but you can't pay all 3 of the WRs...it's too much to invest in the position. I'd rather keep Gallup than him...Cooper's love for the game is questionable to me. He disappears against top corners but makes $20M annually.

Just how do you show "love for the game"? Screaming, yelling, pointing for first downs, jumping all over the place after a catch, etc.?
Not everybody is made that way, some are very intense but quiet. Just check out some videos of the Olympic weight lifter Vasily Alekseyev - strongest man in the world for years, yet he hardly made a sound when pushing record weights.

As far as disappearing against top corners, if he wasn't good enough to beat any of those he'd not have had the multiple 1,000 yard seasons.

I swear, some of you are NEVER satisfied with any Cowboys player, NOT ONE....

Coop is good, but he's a poor man's version of Michael Irvin. What Cooper struggles to have his biggest season gains, Irvin was getting as some of his lowest season gains. Which is why I say Coop is way overpaid by at least $5 million per year. Instead of $21 mil per year, Jerry should have paid him no more than $15 - $16 mil / season.
Overpaid mean Jerry outbidded the market. That’s not the case. If he didn’t pay Amari 20 million another team would’ve so he didn’t overpay him. Zeke is overpaid because no other team would’ve match that offer. Crawford is overpaid because no other team will pay him that much.

hard to say about Jaylon Smith because while we, the fanbase, feel that way but other fanbases don’t so some other gm might foolishly look at the stats and believe he’s worth the price but we know better

Coop is worth every penny and Gallup and CeeDee are benefiting greatly from his presence.

Getting 1k yards is impressive considering the downs and ups of our season. He is also opening things up for Gallup + Lamb

He seems to be all or nothing though, he still has those games where he pretty much disappears. Still too expensive so if they can find another receiver to replace him cheap and spend that money on the OL or the defense, they should do it.

You show love for the game by showing up in big moments, not disappearing in road games or games against top corners. You show love for the game by not staying on the sideline in a win or go home game against Philly looking like your stomach hurts. Michael Irvin competed and motivated his teammates to exceed. Did Cooper have a single catch against Gilmore?? I though so....You can put up nice numbers beating up bad teams

Doesn't sound like $20M a year worthy to me

Great guy, good teammate, good WR, but not worth $20M per year to this team. He's just not dominant enough and we have other options that aren't a huge drop off. He'll be cut after 2021 and we will use that money in a way that better helps this team. And I'll root for him wherever he goes because it's just so great to have a professional player that is humble and never causes any problems

My son and I watch every single Cowboys game and have forgotten more football than you ever knew. How much do you watch, or do you just watch ESPN? If you think Cooper's play deserves $20M per year based on his stats, it sounds like you're the casual fan. Try watching the games before you make comments like that...Gallup beats his man all the time, he's just not the primary look on most plays.

you and your son should try studying what you watch then instead of just watching. I watch football everyday that it comes on and not just cowboys I watch every team. If you watch the film (actual all-22) you would know why Cooper deserves $20M. Casual fan.

What the hell does disappear mean? I could find down games for EVERY receiver in the league, nobody is putting up 100 every game. Do you guys even watch other teams play?

Well, looking at this thread, I'm not alone in my view of Cooper. Like I said, I like Cooper and believe he's one of the most talented in the league, but you can only put so much into the position IMO. And paying that much for a receiver who only plays well at home against lesser competition, I'll pass. There's only so much money to go around...let's see what he does IF we make the playoffs

Nobody expects any player to put up huge numbers every game, that's unrealistic. But, I wouldn't expect a player making that much money to only play well at home. That's 50% of production. And if he's facing a great defense, even less.

Juju also looked great next to Brown, and you’ve seen what happened when Brown left.
That's a great point, but I also see what Diggs is doing after leaving Minnesota with Thielen. Gallup has #1 potential. I never saw #1 with Juju
