Nice stat in there about Cooper.

If Jerry had made that trade, he would be getting blasted in here every day.The Raiders used that pick on strong safety Johnathan Abram and the reviews have been mixed so far. When he’s healthy, he is one of the most athletic and physical safeties in the NFL. No one hits harder than Abram and his energy and leadership bring life to the defense.
Unfortunately, injuries have been a problem for Abram early in his career. Since being drafted in 2019, Abram has played a total of 13 games in the NFL. He’s dealt with shoulder and knee issues and that isn’t all that surprising given his style of play.
Good trade, no doubtIf Jerry had made that trade, he would be getting blasted in here every day.
Clearly this is yet another trade the Cowboys came out for the better. This time by a long ways.
one player trade and the team hasnt made to championship so its a 'so what' trade? interestingGreat player and all, but what have both franchises done since the trade? Oh right. Win worthless games and go nowhere. They’re in the same spot. All this talk about “winning” the trade is bulljive. Who cares? If you haven’t made a championship, then the trade doesn’t matter. You only trade players like that away/receive a trade when you’re a player away. Neither clearly were a player away.
Let's not kid ourselves....this trade was made cause our offense wasn't able to get into the endzone if their life depended on it!If Jerry had made that trade, he would be getting blasted in here every day.

This is why I laugh when people here say get rid of cooper and keep MG. Its not even funny anymore it's actually very very sad.

lol. Our brain trust let go of Dez saying they were going WR by committee. No one would have made anything work with what we had at WR. Brice butler cole Beasley etc. It was a joke. Pretty sure witten retired that year unexpectedly as wellWait - I heard it right here that Dak was the reason for the turnaround in 2018, not the Cooper trade. So what is the real story?
Please remind me again - who was the QB at the time that was leading this crappy offense before the Cooper trade.
It was the great Dak Prescott who broke our all-time scoreless record going 15 Str8 Q of offense without 1 TD....Wait - I heard it right here that Dak was the reason for the turnaround in 2018, not the Cooper trade. So what is the real story?

This 1000%. Why they waited to get a deal done after investing a #1 pick was absolutely braindeadThe only thing I really dislike about the Amari trade was the front office not working out the extension at the time of the trade. The trade should have been dependent on an extension being worked out.
It irritates me because it's just another example of Cowboys front office stupidity.
