Cool story.

No way are they down 20-3 at the half with Smith. A hole they almost dug out of with no QB.

Just got a crazy new stats tool for work so I will be inundating you all with numbers constantly, starting with nuggets about WFT's opening drives this year:

15 possessions, 15 first downs, 2/18 on third down (11%), 8.6 rush yards per, 8.8 net pass yards per, ZERO POINTS

We don’t know why Washington continually gets off to slow starts on offense, and the players are unsure of why either. If there’s any time for them to break the trend, though, it’s this week against the Eagles.

lol.. they were down close to that with smith already with Smith. They only almost came back because the defense forced a turnover and Carolina was content with playing conservative the whole 4th while alowing them to waste the clock.
he was down 21 to Detroit

Just an FYI..... Facts in the Zone can confuse some posters.

Skins will not win with our without Alex Smith. Pederson and Eagles players will see this game as their Superbowl and they will win. If Cowboys win the game, my son will go to bed happy. If Giants win the game my other son will go to bed happy. I will go to bed unhappy regardless. That's that. Happy new year Cowboys Nation.

..one thing about Pederson, he knows how to re-group for a game. I say its close, hopefully Philly prevails.

Taylor "I got my muffler changed at Meineke" Heineke looked decent for them last week. And by that I mean he was better than Haskins.

Heineke lit up a preseason game vs DAL his rookie season for the Vikes. Alex Smith whatever. WFT is missing McLaurin sure enough, but no one is talking about Antoino Gibson being out. I think the RB is really important for Smith's success by controlling the clock and being a excellent check down option. I think Gibson n McClaurin are too big of loses to generate enough to win or PHI is trash.

I can't believe I have to debate with this melvin that the Commanders are a far better team with Alex Smith than Dwayne Haskins and would have won the game over the hapless Panthers had he played.

Excellent. Something to scroll past.

No way the Football team loses to the Eagles if Smith is under center. And if you think Hurts looked like a rookie last week against our defense just wait until he goes against that defensive front.

Washington Football Team will advance to play next week.
Some posters on this forum are forgetting just how bad that Eagle team is.

Alex Smith sucks . That’s not some sort of hot take or anything, it’s common knowledge . Hurts is waaaaay better but that’s no matter , It’s the Washington defense that is the actual issue.

I can't believe I'm having a debate with this onion that they were going to lose that game no matter if Alex played or not. I can't believe I'm arguing with someone who probably never watch the team play but the two times they played us. the team is better, not by much,

Yes, I do believe that Smith could have turned a 20-13 loss to a 4 win dog crap Panthers team with no QB to a win.

And so does everyone else who dressed themselves this morning.

lol....you're pathetic, the score was 20-3 in the 4th quarter, it wouldn't have been 20-13 if the Panthers weren't playing prevent defense...lol

Yes. Believing Alex Smith is a significant upgrade to Dwayne Haskins is " foolish".

What else you got?

where's the significant better play?
they win because of their defense not offense

NbcWashington :

The Washington defense struggled in the first half, giving up big plays and long drives. At halftime, the Panthers had racked up more than 200 yards of total offense and converted 50% of their third downs

Alex Smith: 7 games
4tds , 1420yards , 6 Ints, 66% comp rate

Dwayne Haskins: 7 games
5Tds, 1439yards, 7ints, 61.4% comp rate

Is Fletcher Cox playing....Smith will not escape him. He will have to rely on short quick throws. Which has always been his game anyway. Alex Smith the original dink and dunk.
