Here are my [Bucky Brooks] 10 quick points from watching the 37-17 win over Philly.

Mike McCarthy has the Cowboys Rolling.

It has taken the Cowboys longer than expected to find their groove but McCarthy has his team playing good football heading down the stretch. The Cowboys have scored 30-plus points in three straight games while also generating at least three takeaways in each of those contests. The combination of explosive offense and opportunistic defense has helped the Cowboys chalk up Ws in the win column while also giving them a sustainable team identity. This is an improving team that's playing with better discipline, effort, and energy. Plus, they're embracing the concept of playing complementary football with the offense, defense, and special teams units working together to win the game. It took a while for the Super Bowl-winning head coach to get the Cowboys on track but it is better late than never with the division title still up for grabs.

The Cowboys’ WR corps eats up the Eagles.

It is hard to find an NFL team with a better threesome on the perimeter than Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb. The trio made their case to be considered the best in the league with a sensational performance against the Eagles in which they combined for 13 catches, 307 receiving yards, and three scores (not including Lamb's 19-yard touchdown on a fly sweep). While the robust numbers jump off the stat sheet, it was the big play from each pass catcher that changed the game for the Cowboys. Cooper, Gallup, and Lamb each finished with a 50-plus yard reception as they ran past the Eagles' defense over and over. If the Cowboys continue getting this kind of production from their pass-catching trio, it is going to be hard to deal with an offense with so many explosive weapons on the perimeter and in the backfield.

I really like Bucky’s take on things. As an ex NFL player and scout he knows what he’s talking about and he doesn’t pull any punches. I’ve always liked listening to him on FOX Sports Radio and I am thrilled that he’s writing for DallasCowboys.com.

Implementing a new system with no training camp and rash of injuries, it's good to see the team finally turning the corner. I'm expecting big things with a healthy squad in 2021.

You beat a few bad teams and suddenly you’re rolling.
I understand talking about the records of the teams we’ve beaten... but the Cowboys have improved immensely in just about every aspect of their team. They look like a completely different team and have finally started coming together under the new coaching staff.

Anyone who has watched can tell you that Dallas is playing way, way better football now than what they were. They are hot and playing like this, they would have beaten a lot of the teams that they lost to earlier in the season.

yeah it’s true....but the truth is they are playing better than they were earlier in the year at least and have gotten a lot of depth players meaningful reps with all the injuries this year

Even though they are playing crap teams, a 4 game win streak to end the year could help going into the offseason.

Much better than a 4 game losing streak right?

They are playing better because they went from playing the Browns, Rams and Seattle to playing Bengals, Eagles and San Fran....3 of the worst teams in the league lol.

nothing untrue in what you are saying but execution wise they are playing better football too, they are not making as many mistakes as they had been making and are more technically sound

how much of it is the opponents and how much is the team playing better...hard to say and it’s a bit of both for sure

Yeah it sucks. However, it is very good news for the future of McCarthy’s team going forward.

We’ve all seen teams with new coaches get hot at the end of the year and play completely different and then come back the following season and be a playoff team. It is no guarantee, of course, but turning it around and getting hot is a very good sign.

you know Cowboys fans expectations are low. This is why we lose every year, in and out. We think blowing out a lowly team that is laying down, willingly getting blown out, is suddenly “rolling” and “playoff and Super Bowl” caliber. That’s what a 25 yr drought will do to most (not all) fans.

Not sure why everytime a poster like this try's to put something positive - there's a wave of negative comments here just bashing how we beat crappy teams.

I will post some of the wins from OTHER "top" teams here in the NFC

Packers have beat the following teams:
Jags, Panthers, Lions, Eagles, 49ers, Texans

Saints have beat the following teams:
Lions, Chargers, Panthers, 49ers, Broncos

Seattle have beat the following teams:

49ers, Eagles, Jets, WFT

So guys let's just remove those teams wins from their records because they are garbage and don't belong in the NFL. If anyone of those teams went on a 3 game winning streak with any of those proposed names - the talk would not be oh well they beat bad teams they were supposed to beat. No, it would be this team is rolling. They are on a 3 game win streak. No one cares about the competition other than the forum junkies, us folks just care about wins so keep them coming. I'm taking a win over a crappy team rather than a hard played loss any day, I don't watch football for moral victories and to say the team played hard. I watch football so our team wins, whether or not that's an onside kick against the falcons last minute or we are getting slapped in by the Browns. Mods you should put up a separate forum for the hater zone so some of these folks can breed their depression elsewhere.
