Do you believe in this core?

Sad to say for JJ, but just like an alcoholic has to first admit being an alcoholic and wants to change....this team needs rebuilding and i mean rebuilding. Yes the offense has more pieces to work with than the defense. But still need someone who KNOWS what it takes to cut out the fat and look for talent. Talent that will be used in whatever system they will adhere to. This team right now has no identity, other than just plain bad. I don't mind putting up with three losing seasons if i saw a plan being implemented by coaches who know what they're doing. Those three bad seasons would bring in some great talent. But my fear is JJ does not admit he is an alcoholic. Just a whiskey blue loving connoisseur. So back to the 6-10 seasons we go.

Receivers are nice, o-line is trash except for Zack Martin. QB and RB are overrated. Best players on defense is a rookie corner, 2nd yr safety and a guy that was out of football for two years. Lots of work to do to get a decent core.

This is an average team, in a very bad division. When healthy, 8-8, 10-6 type, but not good enough to play with the good teams. How many teams with a winning record have we beaten in the past couple of years ?

Jerry doesn’t care, he can sell 9-7 like we are the 92’ Cowboys, and everyone will buy it !

Even with a makeshift OL we were leading the league in offense when Dak was in the lineup. We were averaging almost 33 points a game. I don’t think there’s a team in the league that has three better starting WRs than ours. No amount of talent on offense is going to help us overcome our defense. That side of the ball needs a complete overhaul. It’s pathetic!

i am ready to hear jerry talk about his disappointed but how the cowboys only were bad because of the circumstance (injures, covid, training camp, new coach staff, etc) and how much talent cowboys have next season every year the same thing with the talent. i dont think the cowboys do have that much talent! i have no faith in hardly any of it. zack martin, dak prescott, demarcus lawrence is all do i really think are dependible. lael collins if he is healthy and maybe tyron but tyron is always hurt and way passed his prime. i give credit to 2 player for showing out this season...schultz and donovan wilson but i can not say i really believe in them.

all they invest in wr and i do not really trust any of them. amari disappearing, gallup and lamb with dropping.

zeke and pollard? both could be replace with a late round pick or udfa.

the entire defense exept for dlaw, donovan wilson, randy gregory, and young player like diggs and gallimore can go and i would be happy. they all stink and need replacing.

jaylon smith is the #1 person who have to go. not just because he is awful at football but because he is one of the leader on defense and i do not want his stupid non sense to get into any one else on the roster.

i have said it for a long time now that this core is rotten and i do not think any thing will magicly change it. i think this team is needing a totle rebuild like the browns or dolphins did.

i think jerry is very overrating how good this roster is and if he keep doubling down on it he is just waisting his time and all the fans. i just do not see a super bowl core here at all and they have done nothing else but prove me right every season.
Jerry always over rates our talent
Wish we had a real gm

Quite frankly, no. The team was built around Zeke being an elite running back. Now that he isn't, the whole team kind of implodes and you still have his salary on the books. I think a really good GM and coach could turn things around quickly because there is some talent but let's be honest, the Cowboys don't have a really good GM and coach.

No!

Which is why I’ve complained about them locking it down!

We should’ve won something when they were all on rookie deals.

Now they’re all expensive.

Dallas is destined for mediocrity.

I'm optimistic about the offense, top to bottom. Plenty of weapons. WRs are just deadly, Gallup & Lamb continue to improve. If the O-Line can recover, they're still a stout group, plus they have young additions like McGovern & Biadasz. Might not have a stud at TE but certainly not bad there with Schultz & Jarwin. Better than a lot of teams at TE.

The defense is unquestionably the problem, but if they can be average? Dallas is at least going to compete. Problem is, it's going to take a lot of work to be average. They need to stop ignoring their defensive tackle and safety woes, both positions have been killing this team for what seems like forever. LBs are nowhere as good as we thought they might be. I'm optimistic about Diggs eventually being the #1 CB, but who knows behind him.

No.

Offensively they have talent but the defense is a shitshow at all 3 levels

There is talent, but it's almost completely tilted to the offensive side of the ball.

A major infusion of talent is needed on defense. New DC too.
The offense is talented and overloaded at WR. That’s it.
The rest is a tear down.
This team is almost at the studs right now. Just finish tearing it down and re build.

Nope.

If we had a core, we would ve won this division, even with injuries.

We need to improve on almost every aspect of the game. O, D, Coaches....

Lemme say no again.
