Good.Didn’t we discuss this earlier? It’s a 44 MIL cap hit. I just can’t see how PHIL gets around that hit.
Love watching them squirm

see if he is dressed as backup or in street clothes tonight. That will tell you everything.
Philly already gave him a lot of money in terms of signing bonus. That money is divided over the remaining years of his contract but if he gets cut or traded, it hits the cap all at once. His new team can't take on salary dollars on their cap that they didn't pay.
I believe the specifics are that they gave him a $50m signing bonus in 2019, of which $17m has already hit the cap.
There is a $10m roster bonus for next year that I don't completely understand. Based on what I am reading, it also would go against Philly leaving the total around $43m.
Egirls are screwedI just read up. It is his bonus that is the cap hit. The acquiring team can take on the roster bonus. His cap hit next year if traded is 34M.
This can really work in our favor on several levels. 1. Philly will lose on this, either Wentz stays and doesn't play and is a very expensive backup or he gets traded which cripples their salary cap. 2. If he gets traded it takes away a team that could try to negotiate with Dak. 3. It may take away some leverage France has with the Dak negotiations.Didn’t we discuss this earlier? Yeah, how would that work? If Wentz wanted out so bad, he could just redo his contract and PHIL could lower that cap hit? Is that possible?

34 mil for a player that would no longer be on the team.
I suppose the eagles could be willing to eat that much of a hit. But man that’s nuts.
I think Wentz could pay back some of the guaranteed money or something like that.
but I am not 100% sure to be honest. I just know it’s crazy talk because it literally requires Wentz to pay the eagles 10’s of millions back.
which is crazy talk lol
Well, if he CAN do that, then I could see Wentz giving back half and making it a doable trade. But I don’t know if he can. If he can’t, he’s going nowhere simply because it will cripple PHIL in a dead cap hit.
If he can, I could see him redoing his contract after he is traded as well. So he could really recoup that money in a sign and trade. But again, I don’t know if they even could do this.
wentz is a back up. meh
This was evident a couple of weeks ago. Hurts will not be the LT answer at starter in Philly.
It's for one year. After that the Eagles are clear.
