Linehan ran the ball first and Dak played within himself and the system. It worked.
Zeke got suspended in 2017 and everything took a step back in 2017.
Then KM took over to coach his BFF Dak and the offense shifted to a passing attack. And while the yardage stats have been impressive (thanks to lots of 2nd half passing comebacks), our efficiency stats have been meh.
Again— I am not debating that our current roster is not able to execute in the running game dept. I agree with you.
You said this is a passing league— and I think that a good running attack is still needed to win and contend. IMO— KM has shown a prioritization on the pass, and he has not shown enough consistency in the red zone, along with an inability to start games strong and efficiently to warrant a 3 year extension.
I’m fine agreeing to disagree
Here are the top 10 rushing teams this season:
1) Ravens - in the playoffs
2) Titans - in the playoffs.
3) Browns - in the playoffs
4) Patriots - missed
5) Vikings - just missed
6) Saints - 2 seed
7) Cardinals - just missed
8) Packers - 1 seed
9) Eagles - missed
10) Rams - in the playoffs
So 6 of 10 this year. top 3 all in ..
Now the top passing teams:
1) Chiefs - 1 seed
2) Bucs - in
3) Bills - in
4) Texans - out
5) Falcongs - out
6) Chargers - out
7) Raiders - out
8 ) Cowboys - out
9) Packers - 1 seed
10Lions - LOL!
So passing teams made the playoffs at a 40% clip, which is actually an improvement over last year when it was 30%. But people keep repeating "it's a passing league." Why? Maybe we should rethink that whole "passing league" thing..
