I hate McCarthy, he is the most apathetic coach in pro sports. I'll bet my entire net worth that we'll never win anything as long as he's here. At least JG was loved by the players, this bum couldn't even get his family to move to Texas with him.

This has been Romo's team for almost 2 decades and he has proven to be the most knowledgeable football person ever. Double his salary, give him full control and bring him in. Otherwise sign whomever, I can't stand MM the coach. I'm sure he is a nice person though, but who cares.

Dang let's shoot higher than Romo. Let's bring in John Elway or Peyton Manning.

I was a big Romo fan when he was playing for the cowboys.

but come on people. The hero
Worship is a bit much. I mean seriously. In what way is he qualified to be a head coach immediately with no coaching experience?

I mean seriously goodness gracious.

Well now since we are talking about this, why not wait till Tom Brady retires and hire him right away. I love Romo and his knowledge of the game is indisputable but common why would someone add stress to his life when he makes nearly as much sitting in a cozy booth and talking.

Romo as a head coach is a joke but Aikman would love to run the Cowboys front office.

Romo will be an NFL coach at some point. Just not until his kids have grown up.

Nothing Romo has done leads me to believe it would somehow qualify him to be a good HC or even personnel guy.

Now, if you are talking about an OC or even a QB coach, then hell yeah, I'm with you, but like someone else said, why would he? He's got a great gig and he gets paid way more than he would in either of those positions, or likely even as a HC.

He ain't coming outta that booth. Not never.

And not firing McCarthy isn't?

I didn't say that, although I expect MM stays. In fact I doubt any coaches leave this offseason. I do like the idea of Romo coaching, but you can't hand over the team to a guy who never coached, at all. Besides all that, he has a great job, that he excels at and I doubt he leaves it for the coaching grind.
