Offer Tony Romo $20M a year to coach

Come on man. Being an NFL head coach is way harder than being an analyst and requires a lot more seasoning and experience to be good at it. Right now, Tony Romo is completely unprepared and unqualified to be a head coach at this level.

I’m continually amazed how little respect there is for the coaching profession and how hard it is to be prepared for it and to succeed. I’m not a huge MM fan, nor am I a defender of his bad decisions. But the focus of any Cowboys fans frustration needs to start with the guy in the owners box. He doesn’t want to win bad enough to do what it takes to win.

Edit: The thread topic is about Romo being the head coach. Still don't know why he would leave the booth to do the stressful job of being a coach for the Cowboys.

if you’ve been a fan for any amount of time you know Jerry will never admit to a mistake so expect meat head McCarthy to be Cowboys head coach for years and years and years to come . Buckle up .

I did not say he would be a good one but Aikman said he would like to run a team one day in an interview last season. I could see Garrett working at the Star next season.

I don't see how there is anyone on the planet who wouldn't take Romo's gig over any coaching role. Romo probably puts in about 30-40 hours a week and gets to go to games for free, make a crud ton of money. Coaches make money but work 60-70 hr weeks. No way he'd give that gig up.

Aikman, as the analyst on the #1 Fox broadcast team has been meeting the top organizations every week for over 15 yrs to know what it takes to build a winning culture. John Lynch, similar route.

Donovan McNabb went to the 5 NFC championship games and a Super Bowl and the Eagles fans don't even hold him nearly in high regards as this franchise does for Romo. He won us 2 playoff games. Never was any threat to win anything. That is how bad we are when a guy not even as good as Philip Rivers is supposed to be some holier than thou savior.

$20 million to Romo to coach????????? Why would you want to do that ????????????? Jerry Jones would only screw everything up, why do you think this team is so ******. JJ couldn't stand it when Jimmy Johnson was here getting all the fan mail so he found a way to get Jimmy out of picture and the rest is history. This organization has suffered since the last SB they won. It's f#$%^king sad because this organization could of been the Patriots of the 90's or maybe even a great team today if JJ hadn't pissed off the football gods. Now all we're stuck with is an owner who knows how to BS with a lot of money and no football common sense. Fans are lining up in churches as I'm posting this waiting for their chance to pray that God strikes his *** dead so that the club can be sold or SJ finds a real football mind to run this operation. This club is known as EASY MONEY to every club in the NFL and will continue to do so until ownership finds someone who can make football decisions based on abilities rather than egos.....................
