I don't think your "analytics" takes into account the undependable nature of this patchwork team. As I recall, correct me if I'm wrong, ALL those fake punts, reverses, etc, that he went for failed because this team wasn't good enough to make it happen. I would imagine MM was understandably a bit gun shy after all those failed attempts.
Second, why is everyone all of a sudden taking up name calling like "Fat Man"? Do you think his weight is a contributing factor to the outcome of the game? Would weight loss make him a more effective HC?
It his "analytics."....just that there was no good reason not to go for 2. 20-15 and 20-16 are the same need.

And, in general, yes, being more healthy likely has benefits for stamina and mental acuity

Oh quit. I understand the disagreement over the play calling issues, but the last time I witnessed so much silly name calling was way back in school.

I

I have my doubts about Dak, but his legs alone would have opened up greater opportunities for this offense.

And I do believe Dak would have given us at least one additional victory so we wouldn't have been in this situation in the first place.

I don’t think Daks gonna be running much anymore

anyone talk about the the mis coverage by woods on the pettis td. Clearly wilson had coverage so woods should have stayed back to make sure no one got pass but typical woods

I never said that , but I did say dalton was good enough, but that throw was dumb, and he played poorly outside in the cold, and raining at end.
But that said dak doesnt play good in cold, and rain either, and dalton had no help from kellen or mm today.
kellen went all pass on that last drive, and once in the redzone, they should have ran the ball, to alleviate the pass rush.

MM and kellen are both pathetic, and now we are stuck with both for many years to come. I dont think dak can overcome these 2 bozos either.

True tue true... that’s the bottom line on this game.
EXACTLY why they lost this gamE

Any average corner makes a play on that ball. Any average corner likely picks that ball or at least knocks it down.

Lewis is just a bum in coverage. Happy he’s gone

MM seems lost from the start . Never seemed like he is in charge or on top of the game . How can a 5 million a year coach not know what every spectator watching knows . All of this is very alarming. Seems to me this man rode his luck in coaching his entire career, and won with superior talent available.

Hes done that since his rookie year. Hes good for a holding or two every game. But since he can tackle at the LOS people hype him up. Let him go back to Michigan and sign with the Lions.

He peaked when he spied Kamara a few seasons back. He’s a jag

He never really ran that much before. But he will take off when necessary.
Besides, I don't think an ankle break is going to stop him from scrambling. You can't play with fear.

True, but can he forget what it looked like and felt like when he looked down and saw his foot pointing in the wrong direction?
Not only that, will that ankle be as strong and dependable as it was before the break?
I don't know the answer, but I think it's a good question.

I've broken my ankle before. If he gets the appropriate physical therapy, which I know he will because he's getting the best medical care, he should be fine.

I predicted the end of the season a long way back, and was called a fool. The Oracle told me everything I needed to hear.

Dallas Cowboys' 61st season officially in the books.

Circumstances kept me from watching most of the games live, along with reviewing the broadcast replays during the following week.
Going to make a concerted effort to watch all 16 during the playoffs.
While we Cowboys fans commiserate, pontificate, and speculate our team's past season and immediate future....take time to view and enjoy the NFL postseason because:
1) Watch which teams forge through to make it to the conference championships - and on to the league title game (make some $$\ $$$ \$$$ if that's your thing)
2) IT'S FOOTBALL

LOL, and the Eagles look like they might take this game.

All because McCarthy didn't challenge a catch.

LOL, only the Cowboys....

But I'm glad he didn't. This season needed to end a month ago.
