Im on board but unfortunately I cant see Jerry or his puppets parting with him, it would be like Jerry cutting his alter ego.

Is there a single national sportswriter saying this or is it just fans on this site?

Oh wait, I just answered my own question.
national sportswriters dont care about the Cowboys anymore

He’s reached JG level for me. I can’t stand the sight of him any longer. He just can’t play. The tackles are bologna. I can’t remember the last game changing it play he’s made. It’s so embarrassing.

Im willing to chip in $100 to get this moron off the team. He is 100% the face of the cancerous "entertainment" culture in Dallas.

If he's not gone it speaks volumes to the future of the cowboys

Who all remembers when we were all on pins and needles waiting for that knee and nerve damage to heal after being drafted?
Such high hopes. :(

You can laugh all you want, but when this is a so called “leader” in that locker room it ain’t good.

I’ll laugh at someone calling him toxic. That’s funny.

He’s not a very good LB. But this other stuff is hilarious.

Top linebacker deals are now in the mid to high teens. He also only got 6mil signing bonus.

Posters here really aren't going to like you pointing out a signing bonus higher than Jaylon Smith's signing bonus of five million. Nyuk, nyuk....

If I could have one Cowboys-related wish come true above all others, it would be to see Jaylon “king of shameless self promotion” Smith released.

But who’s going to take his place?

Joe Thomas... Joe Dirt... Joe Schmo who’s currently a cashier at Walgreens.. I’d take any of them.

I’m so sick of having to watch him swiping it up after committing PI fouls and tackling guys 20 yards down the field.

*Please, Lord, grant me this one wish.*
Delusional Jerry would never get rid of the 3rd highest tackler in the league. He forget or dismisses Jaylons faults.

Well I mean I get it. The guy celebrates doing nothing. Never takes accountability (which stems from the FO) so not entirely his fault, and seems to care more about his image than winning football games.

Hes not a leader of a tough defense. Thats clear as day.

And Jerry is a coward. Told Dez he needed to improve after 2017 (played better that year than Jaylon did this year). But calls Jaylon a cornerstone. Thats bs

Whoever is making the decisions on who to give long-term contracts to needs to be fired ASAP. We have a history of picking the wrong guy to give the extension to.

He has this swagger like he's Bobby Wagner when in reality he's Bobby Carpenter with a bad leg.

I think he carries that self swagger because he may be so sensitive about the mass criticism he gets.
It may be a way of covering up some vulnerability. His teammates and coaches may feel just the opposite.
He may go about it the wrong way publicly and it may look like self-centered on the surface.

Regardless, he's just not an instinctive playmaker who makes a lot of negative loss plays or turnovers, and he really has to
be hidden and schemed around to avoid opposing teams from exploiting him.

I just get the feeling that the Jones are gonna approach Jaylon the same way they did with Crawford and gonna want present coaching staff
to baby him along because of his rah-rah locker room presence.
They'll drag that contract out until it's expired and then take it on a 1 or 2 year deal at the least.

you draft or trade for Jaylon's replacement first before you make any move to replace him, imo.
you add and upgrade talent first at the LB spot, you don't just up and get another street bargain vet and it's even worst than it was before.

Frankly I have my doubts that LVE is gonna work out too because he's become injury prone.
I've gotten to a point that I think it's only a matter of time before he's out several games and we still haven't found his best role and fit.
and he has not been a stand out playmaker and leader since his rookie year.
Is his best role at middle LB or outside LB ?

and we've said this for the last 3 years going but this could be Lee's last year here. And he's really the true leader of this defense.

Going to be tough to cut him since the great GM Jerrah gave him a 6 year deal.
