So your saying that 500 yards and 4 TD's in a loss is the same impact as 243 yards, no TD's and the game losing pick in a loss?

Another all time dumb observation by the board bozo.:clap::clap:

Yeah because I don't ignore the situation like you do and there is a reason he had those kind of stats.. Because he had high volume against horrible pass defenses who were trying to protect a lead.

I've got years to go off of from both QB's and i'm not using a 3 game window that we lost all 3 games lol.

Dalton got the Bengals to 4 or 5 consecutive playoff appearances in the AFC north.

Dak.. He's gone to the playoffs twice in 5 years and has a 1-2 record.

These players are similar.

Is Dak better? Of course.

In terms of the overall impact on a game? They are similar. Neither are difference makers and go as the team goes. Daltons contract makes it easier to build a better team.

I don't want Dalton though. He's below average. I want to draft.

Team results are a TEAM stat.

How are Beathard and Kaaya? Just curious. Are they in the MVP race like Mahomes or?

So what did the QB guru say? That Beathard and Kaaya were better prospects than Mahomes? OUCH!!!!

HE WON!!!! :lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao:

Cannot wait for this issue to resolve itself, so that the post-teeth gnashing by fans posing as would be NFL general managers, concerning whatever the decision will be, can finally begin. The wait has gone on too long.
Yeah, but then it will be 10,000 post we’re doomed to 8-8 forever blaaaaaaaah!

I really have no interest in what backup QB's think.

You should since he will be your starting QB until the next franchise QB. You are omitting the case that McCarthy will have a say on the QB going forward.

Well.. Turns out Mahomes got the coaching like I said he would need to match his talent that I acknowledged.

Kaaya I don't know. Beathard is solid when called upon.

I liked how their games translated from College to the Pro's considering the pro game at that time vs the spread that it has become. They played under center and read entire defenses. Obviously you don't understand this which is why you still can't comprehend it so either comprehend it or get blocked.

Mitch Trubisky got taken #1 for this reason over them.

So you didn't see Andy Dalton crap the bed in the most important game of the season?

I saw an offense that had multiple drops, gave up pressure all day long and a running game that generated nothing. Its a team game. I don't see how any QB, much less a backup, can be successful under those conditions but whatever. I guess that's how we do it now. We call out the backup for the OL giving up 6 sacks. Count how many of them were on 3rd down.

So do tell me.. What did those stats bring in terms of the result for the team?

Not your fantasy football team.. Real football please.

This is too much for some to digest. Anyone can see that Dak is better than Dalton but not by much and that both are bus drivers and not really difference makers.

Dalton at $15M vs Dak at $30M+ the answer is pretty obvious.

Still defending your dumb evaluation. LOL

No surprise there. And looking more dumb doing it.

constant pressure rattles a QB and Dalton was pressured on a consistent basis. I believe he's just a temporary solution but we need to draft someone with a high ceiling as a QB and let McCarthy work his magic.

It really doesn't take that much brain power but for some it might as well be chemical engineering.

If Jerry gives Dak a massive multi year deal after that injury, he’s the dumbest GM in the history of sports. Dak will play on the franchise tag again. FACT

I find it hilarious how many fans put up the MD shingles based on ZERO first hand info Prescott that oh by the way is refuted by the actual doctors and trainers that are treating Prescott. Not only have the doctors and trainers say that Prescott will be good to go for next season, they have said that he's actually ahead of schedule in his rehab. But the Prescott haters want to continue to use his injury as a reason for not signing Prescott.

Oh and please tell us all on just which conversation you've had with Stephen and Jerry where they told you that it will be just and only the tag next season.

You said lots of things about Dalton. All of them proven dead wrong.

Your comment about similar results with Dalton was more then team record, it was how he performed at QB. Which was abysmal compared to Dak.

And we all know that playing the Rams, Cardinals, Seahawks, Browns is much more difficult than playing Cincy with their 3rd string QB, Philly with their 2nd string QB, and SF with their third stringer. Not to mention the defense gave Dalton 3 turnovers in those games and played much better. Dak easily wins all those games.

So the reality is with the nice little experiment, you got your @$$ handed to you. With the Dalton debacle finally culminating with a all time horrid performance by Dalton in the biggest game of the year.

In short, Dalton made you look silly.

Dalton came in to the team with little off season, no pre-season games. The problem is more lack of time with the receivers than Dalton's abilities. Ideally your backup has to do what Bridgewater did for the Saints last year - win a few games in the middle of the season, then sit back down and let the starter finish the season. And it helps if you have a very good team besides the quarterback as well. Dalton obviously did better in later games than at first, even considering the later games came against poorer competition than the early games.

Not so sure any backup would have done much better than Dalton under those circumstances, not to mention the cut hand...

Yeah, I am not a believer in "McCarthy Magic". But I agree, we need to draft a QB if at all possible, assuming we can't get Dak signed for a reasonable deal.

Ask the NFL why Mahomes didn't go #1 if you don't want to listen to me.

Maybe they learned from it like I did and that is why I was a little ahead of them when I said Josh Allen was the #1 QB in his class and Herbert was the most talented guy in his class.

NFL changed.. I took notice.

What are the odds of Dalton even remaining with the Cowboys if they get a deal done with Dak? Seems like Dalton is open to going elsewhere to try and get a starting job.

Is he? I mean, he has more talent at this stage of each players career but, there is more to being a good QB then just physical skills. Dak has to develop into a good Pro QB who understands the entire game in every situation. He's not there yet IMO.
