Ok ok, I heard it all. Point made. Loud and clear. You can all kindly shut up now. People whose sole intention is to educate others is really annoying.

And I brought up passing numbers to clarify my point how Kirk was putting the ball in the end-zone more in less attempts and the only thing Dak has is, he throws the ball way more nowadays which explains all that yardage.

There is nothing that says I can’t clarify My point with even more information to argue that Dak’s image is predicated on hype and not real substance. His best year, 14 of his thirty TDs came against two of the worst teams in the league and unlike Kirk, he choked
against he garbage Eagles. Hell, even Kirk was 9-7 this year, unlike 8-8 Dak.

I like most of your posts Khiladi. You’re a good poster. I do think you are overly critical
Of Dak and don’t give him enough credit for the things he does do well.

But we can disagree on these things. It’s all good really.

end of the day we both just want a damn super bowl. Whether it’s Dak starting, Dalton starting or any other damn QB.

Just as an aside, Brees tore his labrum and rotator cuff and dislocated his shoulder in San Diego. His original numbers in San Diego for that era were pretty good.

https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl...jury-philip-rivers/1ifop5gfoaayh1vxyyphh22cao

Brees was a stud in college. One of the best ever. Only fell to the second round due to concerns about his size.

Same thing happened to Russell Wilson.

So what QB’s in the draft are available that check every box, but are just short?

maybe we should target them.

Brees is still the all time Big Ten passing leader. And that was over 20 years ago. That’s pretty crazy.

Just a scenario....what if....Dak signs with another team on the first day of free agency, because Jerry did not tag him thinking no one would want him. Dalton, too, is scooped up by a team, and Dallas has no quarterback. The team is stuck with, Gilbert DiNucci and/or drafting whatever QB the team can get.

I know there will be a contingency which relishes the idea of jettisoning Dak.

But what moves in 2021could be made to be competitive considering the lack of leadership at QB. And a defense that couldn't stop a sleepy baby from taking a nap?

The faction that believes it couldn't get worse could be very wrong.

‘I have to admit that the “Nooch” would be epic must see tv every week.

When's the last time Quarterbacks picked #1 and #2 both ended up being good? Plunkett and Manning 1971?

The most recent one is Jared Goff and Carson Wentz. Even if you call Goff a success, for now Wentz is probably a bust. I don't think history is on the side of both Fields and Lawrence being great.
The better question is when was the late time 2 QBs where taken in the 1st round and where good.
Several times....including this year.
Them going 1 and 2 requires both teams at the top wanting QB or being willing to trade the pick.
Washington wanted Young too much to trade that pick.

But if the Chargers had pick #2 they wouldve taken Herbert after Burrow

Anyway, there's a real chance Fields won’t go 2nd anyway.

Btw,, those saying Lawrence will bust are nuts....imo

Yup, 1 playoff win (thanks to Cooper's arrival), 8-8 in a putrid division last season, 1-3 before he went down this season. Let someone go ahead and pay him elite money. Just not us.

He’s the only top 20-30 range QB even available.
Of course he’ll be in demand to some degree

and if you think he’s top 7-8 range like many do, well, he gonna get paid.

I like Dak. He's a gutty QB with the "It" factor.

I hope he stays here in Dallas.

I just keep reminding myself that Derek Carr was the highest paid player when he signed his contract, and eventually it doesn't seem so rich. When this whole thing started many people were like "do we have to pay him 30M" and now if it's less than 40M a year I'll be shocked. If it longer than 3 years, I'll also be surprised because that is what Dak has been fighting for all along. He wants to be a free agent when the new TV deals kick in.

Jerry won't let him walk, but Dak makes 37.5M on the franchise tag and is almost 100% certain not to be franchised a 3rd time. I'd be happy if we keep him, but the way this has gone I'd say it's more likely he is the next version of Kirk Cousins, playing on the tag twice, and then signing somewhere else. Jerry really has no leverage here.

Not surprising. There's always a desperate team.

Would you want Derek Carr as your quarterback?

Dak was on MVP Pace behind a make up O-Line and a fat overweight RB.

Im not surprised a bit. We need to do anything to keep him.
