This isn't going to go well but I'm one of very few that like Jaylon. He isn't as bad as some want to say and the guy is available every week.

I have watched guys blame him when a run went opposite of where he was lined up and made the tackle for a 5 yard gain. Seen Leighton and Lee responsible for that side but yet some blame Jaylon.

He hadn't played great but that can be said for every single player on defense. I think Jaylon should be used different then what he is. He is more of a specialist player and played to his strengths.

I'm all for adding LBs in this draft and in fact I think at least 2 needs to be drafted. Lee and Leighton just aren't reliable, and guys like Gifford and Bernard and backup guys.

Jaylon will be here for at least another year or two as you can't replace all 3 starting LBs in one offseason. If Nolan stays and wants to use more of a 3-4 then Jaylon absolutely has to stay next season.
You should not have posted because it does not fit the anti Jaylon agenda. You are correct that Jaylon is an average linebacker. The truth is he is over payed and needs to take a pay cut. Bucky Brooks commented about it in his game review but Jaylon is our best linebacker. Like the Dak haters people will find specific plays to comment on. He is the defensive whipping boy while Sean Lee gets credit for firing up the defense against Philadelphia with a in game pep talk and LVE gets credit for being a pro bowler in 2018. This board is so red sometimes.

I agree about the money but it's not my money so I don't care what players make. I get the saying that it's wasted money that could be used somewhere else but there are ways around the salary cap. That's why Dallas likes 5 year contracts and what's holding up Dak getting signed

Do Offensive Coordinators scheme to run towards the weakest or strongest defenders?
Jaylon is the best LB on the team but coordinators scheme plays that work regardless of how good players are. You don't think teams run at Donald, Watt or anybody else you think is the strongest defenders

Nw we have a new wave of players the fans can blame for this franchise's lack of success, meanwhile Cole & Dez are playoff bound, Romo is making a killing as a analyst, and Garrett is interviewing for a new job a day after sending his former team home:lmao:

I've just never seen a professional athlete this tone deaf. It's truly remarkable.

He is completely oblivious, but it isn't his fault. His teammates, coaches, and FO probably are always telling him how great he is.
Who cares at this point?

Yeah and fans/media are like the Cowboys could have paid Byron if they did not extend Jaylon. There is not one person in 2018 that thought the Cowboys should pay Byron let alone make him the highest paid cornerback in the league. You think Jaylon is getting picked can you imagine what the board would be like If we paid Byron. It is gonna be comical when Dak gets paid. Fans will analyze the way he walks into the huddle.

I don't care about the cap, I legitimately believe Smith drags down this defense. I used to get a ton of crap on here for saying Smith has low football IQ even dating back to college when he couldn't read an offense to save his life, it's unbelievable he is the one out there being the QB for this defense. The only thing he is good at is giving people secondhand embarrassment.

I wonder if he is just trying to hard to motivate or carry the defense, similar to Zeke with his early fumbles.

But yet is constantly at the top of tackles for Dallas the past few years......
There's 3.5 seasons worth of game film to support my position on #54 and I'm well aware of those hollow stats. I'm glad that he overcame that devastating injury but he's T-R-A-S-H as a LB, a complete liability on our defense, and objectively the worst starting LB in the NFC.

No way you have watched film and then say Jaylon is the worst starting LB in the NFC over 3.5 years. Not without bias.

He isn't all pro either but he most certainly isn't trash. He is at worst average

There was one play the Giants had short yardage. Jaylon made the tackle and celebrated with the swipe. Result of the play was first down Giants.
He was celebrating the play wasn't a TD. Any play that is not a TD is showboating criteria and Jaylon is the defensive leader so he has to set the tone.

Hes legit the worst player on this Roster and its not even close.

His stupid antics and brand selling bullcrap make him the most unlikeable guy on the Cowboys since Roy Williams.

Unbelievable that we gave him a longterm monster deal.

We literally gave two of the worst players on this Team Zeke & Jaylon the best contracts and are stuck with them.
