Say what you want about Garrettm but I liked him as our coach and I wouldn't have fired him last season.
His last 6 seasons as our coach he won 9.3 games per season, players loved him, the coaching staff was very stable and we played competitive football with him.
Under Mike McCarthy we are looking like the Dave Campo team. I'll always root for JG, he is not only a good football mind, he is also a good guy.

I concur completely

The league now sees Garrett was probably optimizing the talent on the Cowboys as they slipped noticeably this year even before losing Dak.

Despite losing Barkley and Jones out several games and being at the bottom of the league in offense NY was able to hold together enough to stay in contention for the division until the final week.

I didn’t watch many NY games but Jones looked much improved Sunday from what I’d seen earlier.

And despite a vocal minority Lynch Mob with Garrett on this anonymous fan forum which really holds no validity on its own Garrett has been recognized for steering the Cowboys thru the most dysfunctional organization with sounder drafts , personnel decisions with more success winning division titles and playoff games than the previous 4 HC’s cumulatively this era with 2 different QB’s of less than 1st round talent . Both of which obviously developed under his watch and his offense.

So despite the frustration and disappointments from this era it probably wasn’t as much Garrett’s lack of experience , ability or flaws as some campaigned for. He became more of the scapegoat for the lack of more success and continued poor management of Cowboys Football which appears to be still in place.

And you're trying to give Garrett the credit for the rookie Dak Prescott? Yeah, easy to see how the real "joke" is here.

But that's been easy for everybody to see for years punching bag.

no it's easy to how ignorant you are, Jason was just as much responsible for Dak as anyone. your ignorance shines the brightest

Please. You're the poster boy for "ignorance". Everything you ever say is patently false.

Prescottt was great in Dalla from day one. The first time he hit the field, he lit the Rams up in the preseason. And he had his best statistical year after Garrett was gone. So save me and everyone's else the bull**** about Garrett having anything to do with Dak or anyone else's success.

It’s not just ignorance it’s an agenda often seen in social media and analytical personalities to draw attention for air time or simply inciting response like opposing fans do who troll .

Platitudes. They happen all the time in the NFL. It's called taking the high road. Dak never has a bad word to say about anyone. All positive all the time. Garrett was a lousy coach for a decade in Dallas, and people will still try to prop him up out of kindness.

But you go right ahead and use that as your 'truth'.

lol...again a fool who got his butt shown up and can't deal with being wrong..classic

I've got the facts to support my position. You have 'kind words'.

I know exactly who the "fool" is here. And the child who has to resort to name calling once again because he's not intelligent enough to have an adult conversation.

Yeah if Garrett it's so highly regarded in the league by GM's as you said, you would think this lead to him having a coaching tree after ten years as a head coach in this league. Hell, even Marvin Lewis had a coaching tree in Jay Gruden.

Not really. Jason started as a HC with very little coaching experience at all, you’ll remember. So his staffs in a lot of cases included established coaches at the ends of their careers (eg Linehan, Marinelli, Kiffin, Ryan). In some cases, these were guys who were HCs themselves prior to ever working in Dallas.

Coaching trees come from guys like Kellen Moore. Young coaches that you bring in and develop. Or position coaches like Richard or Eberflus who get reputations for being hot candidates and get big jobs. Did Garrett even have a lot of coaches who fit into categories like that?

There are many examples of great things Dak has said publicly about Jason Garrett and the role he had in Dak’s development.
