He wants to win, he just doesn't know how... outside of business.

He wants big names to make the Cowboys stay relevant.

But, what he needs is a bunch of good players... not a few elite players...

He doesn't understand why it worked when Jimmy was there. Our defense was very good...
But it wasn't from just 2 elite players... it was because they were all GOOD players.

But, a bunch of no name good players, doesn't make it as interesting in his opinion.

But, those super bowls made many of those good players stars. Not to mention many of
those good players evolve to elite.

If he would worry more about getting good players... versus dumping all the money into what
he feels will be elite players. We would have already won more super bowls.

He should know this... he is in business. I am in business as well.

When we sell something... we look at will selling this to a business at $1000/m make use more
than volume of selling it at $500/m.

So many times, we find the volume from selling at $500/m destroys the $1000/m. Because
of getting 10x the businesses using it.

Jerry knows this... I don't know why he can't apply it to football.

Paying several players 1/4 of what you pay Zeke, Dake, Smith, DLAW, will in the end make
us a better "TEAM" than what we are now.

Plus, if will give him new challenges... like making no name people into superstars.

Jerry you are still trying to win a championship without Jimmy Johnson and it is not going to happen with you in charge. You are to emotionally tied to the players you draft and have blinders on your feel good players/coaches. You are not a football guy and never have been a football guy and never will be a football guy.

So we’re also all in agreement that Jerry doesn’t know w. t. f. he’s doing either.
Man, we are running on all 8 cylinders today!!

BS!!! I listened to the entire interview. He only said that while BACKTRACKING....his FIRST comments was bragging on attendance....then the host cave him the opportunity to throw the dirt back out of his grave that he had just dug. DO NOT feel sorry for this egomaniocal fool.

I don't doubt for one second that he wants to win and is more than willing to put his wallet on the line to do so. No one has ever accused Jerry of being cheap.

Unfortunately, his mixture of ego and neurosis prevent that from happening. He wants to be GM, he wants to be everyone's friend, he wants control over everything but he doesn't really have the intelligence or stamina to make sure everything is done right. Cowboys fans are pretty much trapped until he steps aside and then we will have to wait until a competent person takes over. Jerry's replacement isn't guaranteed to be a genius.

I cant believe anyone listens to that radio station, especially when jerry is on lol.
I never have, listening to jerry is hard on my brain, trying to keep up and decipher what he is saying.
listening to him , it is hard to believe he went to HS much less college.

That must have been a tremendous interview.
And some don’t think someone is providing him excerpts from the fans. This is clear evidence . Just like when he got emotional with Costas how much he wanted to win.

This is him pleading to public perception.

26 years and counting we've all heard this before Jerry, stop with the nonsense and put the damn product on the field that's how you keep us relevant. That's how you sell seat, jerseys, popcorn and severely over priced brisket sandwiches. Less talk more work

The man is delusional, can definitely see why a guy like Jaylon Smith is his prototype player.

so, he’s saying he cares just as much about the dollars and attention as he does winning. Got it, Johnnie Walker!
Of course he cares about winning because he knows if he doesn’t win it will eventually hurt his revenue and compromise the way he wants to run his team.

This is a tough one for the crowd who clings to everything he says and then, out of the other side of their mouth, talks about how he doesn't care about winning.

Unfortunately he’s proven this era he can do it without the product on the field. All he has to do is lure the fans in. And this is exactly his intent here.

I’ll give Jerry a break. After all, he does have “the all time leader in attendance during the Pandemic.”

Go Cowboys!

I would love to say no but just too many facts to dispute!!! Every single year blind faith fandom pads his pockets even more.

Only wanting to win if you can play with your ball isn’t ultimately doing everything in your power to win.

Sometimes you have to pass the ball . And can still take credit for that.

But it’s not enough for him. It wasn’t with Jimmy and never will be with anyone.
