The moral of the story is that the good ones are gone and you can only pick from whats left. What is left behind makes way more than they should but they are all that is left so what can you do.

It seems like the Dak haters are the emotionally challenged as all you do is whine about Dak. Constantly. Pull your pantys out and accept that he will be here for a long time or just move on to hating someone else.

You damn right he paid dearly Dak has no idea what version of himself he will be a compound fracture has ruined many of careers. There's no way he will know who he even is until he gets himself back in the game under live fire to even see if he is in fact healthy mentally that injury changed that young man we're now left to see if it's going to be mentally or physically if you've ever played the game then you know exactly what I'm talking about. Unfortunately as a fan it's been 26 years for us so giving him the patience he'll deserve seriously won't happen and the franchise is literally stuck with him and tied to his ability to recover because of the pr nightmare he presents.
Whether we agree with it or not....here is what happened and what is going to happen

Dak got 33m last year....and missed the majority of the season
Dak will either get franchised next year and get 38m OR
Dak will work out a long term deal with more guarantees that were originally offered

Again...I am not debating what he is or is not worth. I am just pretty sure in what is going to happen. Which is why I don't think he paid dearly.

I don't think franchising him is option b/c we don't have 38M in cap space. Sure we can re-work other contracts, but is that really a smart thing to do on a bad team with a new coaching staff? We would basically be telling MM he has to win with garrets players.....which Garret couldn't even do.

I've been saying all along that Jerruh and Company are gonna back up the Brinks truck for Dak. If anything the injury probably solidified them giving him one of, if not the highest contract in NFL history. Both Jerry and his stupid son have been clamoring about how 'Dak has all the leverage'

Again....I am not debating whether he is worth it. I am not debating if it is smart. I was just pointing out that not getting this done is going to cost us more in the long run. And this is with him missing most of THIS season and taking up 33m in cap space THIS season.

So Dak...in my opinion...did not COST himself dearly

Allen is certainly better than Dak as he has elevated his team each year as the starting QB whereas Dak has only elevated his personal stats.
Josh Allen is not nearly as good as Prescott.

just watch these playoffs. Allen reminds me of a Cam Newton with somehow even less accuracy.

I just rolled my eyes so hard I sprained a muscle. So let's try this again.

Name 10 QBs right now and moving forward who are better than Dak.
Not factoring in contracts but just overall quarterback ability...There are only 3 sure fire quarterbacks worth taking over Dak in 2021.

Mahomes, Wilson, and Rodgers.

Since the cowboys sucked this year I watched a lot of other teams.

There is an EXTREME quarterback shortage right now.

Are you high?
No but I see you had to resort to insults instead of facts. I’ll say it again, in 2021 there are ONLY 3 quarterbacks definitively better than Dakota Prescott.

Wilson, Mahomes, and Rodgers.

No other quarterback in the league besides those three can put up 5,000+ yards and 35+ touchdowns for the cowboys like Dak.

Jerry wasn’t joking when he said Dak has molded into a perfect QB.

He’s deadly accurate on deep throws (top 3 according to PFF), can make plays with his legs, makes accurate quick reads, and swims through the pocket even with a spongey o-line.

I think Dallas should trade him for a two firsts to the Commander’s and start rebuilding.

Literally none of that is "facts".

We all know how great Jerry is at picking QBs.

Hutchison, Leaf, Carter, etc...etc.

Loved Paxton Lynch.

So if Jerry likes Dak..........

From what I last read the cap won't be dropped much next year. This article says around $195 million.

Which if that ends up being the case, the Cowboys could tag Dak without any restructures. They wouldn't have much left for free agency, but that is where possibly restructuring could fit in.

Numbers aren’t facts?

Dak ranks top 5 in every measurable quarterback statistic though
Not sure how Dak can be top 5 in every measurable quarterback statistic but never crack the top 10 in overall QB rating. Except for his rookie year of course when he and Zeke were actually both top shelf.

Lol... "Ruthlessraper". So true and terrible!
Looks like we have pretty much the same eval on current NFL QB's.

I get people saying you keep sifting the silt for gold and I get the people saying we have silver, why throw that away?
And I get people saying you don't pay gold for silver.

So many levels and so many complications when managing a professional football team.

Edit: And I have given you so many propers and likes and engaged in some very nice convos with you and you have never given me one Like.
Our relationship is straining!

My apologies.. I am new to the "like" button here. I was off the zone for a couple of years until they finally killed the DC.COM board so things have changed a bit since I was last a regular visitor.. Wait.. what do you get for likes anyway? Do they hand out gift cards or something at the end of the year!?!? LOL!

Who judges QB’s elite status on QBR alone ?

Actually QBR by definition evaluates a QB based on ALL factors.. passing, running, game management, turnovers, two minute offense, the whole shabang. At least that's what it was designed to do. If you were going to use just one statistic that would be the one because it encompasses all the others. Now nobody actually knows what formula they use.. but that's how it was sold.
