no one ever say it is all daks fault but when u pay a qb franchise money u pay them to be the solution not just “not the problem”

franchise qbs elevate the play of every one around them and raise the floor of the entire team. that is what they can do and why they get so much money and why every team in all level of football is wanting one.

Meh - I don't put the blame totally on Dak, but I certainly don't have him as high on a pedestal as his fan club likes to put him. I'm not as enamored by his personal stats as much as others are, and that seems to be the biggest reason his supporters give for wanting to break the bank. He has a 1-2 playoff record, and in my opinion that isn't good enough to get an elite QB contract. I just have higher standards and expectations, I guess.

Very few QBs out there can lead their respective teams to consistent victories without a good Defense . Dak will get paid, it's going to happen. Is he not better than most of the QBs not names wilson, Roger's and mahomes who have gotten paid...

No point in bringing up statistics or a different opinion as you will be slammed for it much like many of us have been.

Better than most? I would put him in the top 10 if we're judging him solely by his statistics. But if I'm looking to pay a QB top money I'm evaluating him for far more than stats.

Dak had a great rookie season going 13-3, but the results have been mediocre to slightly better since. Not including this season, he has gone 27-21. Personal stats aside, that simply isn't deserving of the elite contract he reportedly wants.

Dallas was ranked #28 in team defense so while clearly the Dallas defense played poorly, both Cleveland and Tennessee had defenses ranked in the 20's and yet both made the playoffs.

(Note: In 2019 Dallas had the 3rd ranked offense and 11th ranked defense yet could only finish 8-8 so even with a much better defense last season than this season, Dallas still couldn't make the playoffs.)

All of those teams with top defenses ride there Defense. The other teams have top QBs. If we had Dak this entire year I think we make the playoffs easily. Wash made it off there D alone

Point being is TENN and CLE made the playoffs with bottom half defenses and led by Tannehill and Mayfield as the QB's. I was simply countering the notion that a QB can't win without a solid defense. If Dak is that great, at least far better than Tannehill and Mayfield, then a lower tier defense should not have mattered.

Well in fairness Dak played 5 games and this is BM first year in. T in Ten has a hell of a running game and a decent D. He literally is just a game manager oh and hea getting paid
