How would you grade this year's rookie class?

Starts
Lamb - 14/16 technically, but really started every game by snaps
Diggs - 11/12 started when healthy all year
Gallimore - 9/14 started last 8 games of the season
Biadazz - 4/12 started when starter went down, arguably should have kept the job
*Steele UDFA - 14/16 - Not ready for prime time, but the experience did him good

Likely 3 starters next year in Lamb, Diggs, Biadasz.
By PFF *this* year, Lamb our 2nd WR, Diggs our 1st CB.
Gallimore as clear rotation DT.
Steele a good development prospect at OT. Not a disaster to play him anymore.

Probably some future mileage in some of Anae, Olinilua, Robinson, Carter, Bernard, Gifford (only 1accrued season)

Bernard PFF 67.2. Blew our other LBs away. Gifford next at 58.6.
Anae - 85.2 on 6 snaps. Ok. LImited sample. But keep playing him!
I just hate it when we don't continue to play guys that play well. Especially in this toilet of a season. Should have been the year to develop young guys and get a good draft pick.

How is this not a great rookie class already? Multiple starters with lots of guys who could add to the haul in the coming years.

People can get so ridiculously demanding.

Gallimore: Picked it up hugely in the back half of the year as well. Has some real talent stuffing the run and can rush the passer. Will probably go into next year as the starting 3 tech.

Biadasz: Not sold on him. He showed more game than your average 4th round rookie does, but I don't know if his pass blocking will develop to starter level.

I'm less sold on Gallimore than you. Not near starter quality yet. If he's starting next year, we didn't do enough in the offseason to improve at DT. Gallimore, Hill, Woods. Not a one we should *want* to be starting based on this year.

Biadasz, yeah, I'm not entirely sold, but I won't cry either if he's our presumptive starter. Great pedigree. McGovern should get the chance to compete with him for C, though. Based on play today for players next year, McGovern would be our 5th best to get on the field, and has played center.

Lamb - A
Future WR 1 of this football team.
Agree.
Diggs - B+
Had some rough games but ultimately he contributed a lot and was relied upon a lot by this team. He gave up some plays but he was never a liability.

Agree.

Gallimore - C
Showed up every now and then but was not a difference maker at all for the dline. Still think he can develop into a solid starter for this football team.

I grade Gallimore higher than you do. He wasn’t drafted in the top 10, so you can’t expect top 10 production from him. It usually takes a while for a lineman to come into their own with NFL training and conditioning.

The coaching staff should have got him on the field earlier than it did. Produced very well for a 3rd round pick. For where he was drafted I would give him a B+.

Biadazz - A
For a 4th round pick he played great when on the field. Could use some work in pass protection but his run blocking was excellent.

Agree.

Robinson - F
Rarely saw him play and I'm not even sure he was active for most of the season. If he couldn't compete with Woods then he must have a long ways to go.

Incomplete. How can you grade him at all? I think you are confusing Robinsons.

I could see bashing him for not getting on the field but the coaches left Poe in the lineup for whatever reason. It’s hard to make a play if they won’t play you.

Anae - Incomolete
Again, never really saw him on the field. He plays a tough position at DE and with somewhat decent depth at this position with Gregory returning I'm hoping the coaching staff just wanted to see what Armstrong could do since he hasn't had much playing time in his first couple of seasons.

Agree.

Dinucci - F
He sucks. He'll never throw another pass in a regular season game. Unless only him and Wentz end up being on the same team someday.

Agree. I can’t see him being a contributor in the NFL. Cut him and move on.

How would you grade this year's rookie class?

Overall I would give this draft class an “A”.

Overall i would give it a B+ especially if Biadasz turns out to become a starting Center which he showed glimpses of.

Lamb will become a monster and replace either Cooper or Gallup in two years so it was not a wasted pick and this team wasnt one player on D away from contending.

Diggs was a great find. He has the hard work ethic and never gives up. Skills you need when you want to success on the CB Position in the NFL. He was clearly our best CB this season despite being a Rookie and giving up a lot of big plays too.

Gallimore was solid but not more but thats what you can probably expect from a mid 3rd round Pick normally.

DiNucci and Robinson look to be flops but they werent drafted high so who cares.

Jury is still out for Anae

After the way Donavon Wilson played this season some of you are still giving lower round picks F for a grade instead of an incomplete? SMH.

Barring injury the Cowboys hit big on Wide Receiver and Cornerback premium positions. In free agency these two would be 15+ million dollars apiece and we have then locked in for peanuts for the next three seasons.
Gallimore will be the starting 3 tech next season. I have more confidence in him then Biadasz, who lost his position to a JAG in Looney.

Jefferson deserves an A++++
Can you imagine if CeeDee had Dak for a whole season. I would love to see Jefferson doing the “griddy” with the Nooch, GG, and Andy as his quarterback. Jefferson cost us a top 7 pick with his drop against us.

Lamb gets a B because he still dropped the ball at times. Biadasz gets an Incomplete because for some reason they Wally Pipped him for the bum Looney.

Not a good draft class, gotta do better this year.
You have to catch everything to hey an A

After 1yr especially with no off-season, very hard to give grades so early in their careers, based on this season:

Lamb-as good as advertised.
Diggs-had a lot of growing pains, but everything started to click after the 1st Eagle game
Gallimore-just a few flash plays, clearly not ready to become a productive starter
Robinson-incomplete. Was a raw rookie learning a new position
Biaz-appears to be the team's long term starter at the position, worry about his durability
Anae-incomplete. Think Gregory's return made him a healthy scratch
Dinucci-not a NFL Caliber player at this juncture

Any time a team comes away with 3 starters it's an excellent draft. The success of the other 3, could make it even better: Gallimore, Robinson, Anae.

Lamb: Has the knack for finding holes in zones and ball skills that you can't teach. Destined to be an awesome downfield receiver. Made some mistakes this season, but they're mostly correctable. He should be lined up for a monster year 2.

Diggs: Played a lot better after his injury than before it. Like Lamb, he has ball skills you can't teach. Not sold on his long speed, but he's shown signs of having some real game.

Robinson: If he played, I didn't see it.

Anae: Looked good whenever he got the chance. For a 5th round rook, just showing signs of life is plenty.

DiNucci - Well below replacement level; Garrett Gilbert showed up off the street and outplayed him easily. Not long for the league.

So far, I'd say Lamb is the only surefire future starter we have, but we have 4 guys that could easily turn into quality starters if they build on their rookie seasons. If you look back on past drafts, getting 2 good starters usually makes for an above-average class, so hitting on 4 picks would be killer.
Saw a number of good reviews on Gallimore's play, like the Lb core its hard to say how good they are when the nose tackle position was garbage again. Long ignored issue.

My position on drafts has always been it takes 3 years to truly evaluate. Beyond that if you have more than two quality starters great draft. Two would be average, less than that would be poor. Barring injury, Lamb and Doggs highly likely to be quality starters.

The defensive line is hard to get the NFL moves down I give Gallimore a higher grade. 3rd rounder no bad

Lamb needs to be molded. He's a diamond in the rough.
Heis going to be a generational player. mark this. He was born to play WR. If not for 2020 and having to play with different QB's he would have maxe out the rookie stats. Dallas 3 #1 WR's . Fix the Damn "D"!!!!
