Yeah I like hearing that he's disappointed in the season and is taking some personal responsibility for his play and working to improve. That was a long sentence. But it's refreshing to hear that from a player. I wish we had more of it.Good for him at least he will try to prevent the injuries as best he can. Don’t give up.
Leighton Vander Esch will be around The Star for almost all of the offseason, frustrated that his 2020 season was slowed by collarbone and high ankle injuries. “I’m going to train my frickin’ butt off this offseason. I’m not really going anywhere. I’m going home for two weeks and I’m coming right back. I’m going to be here training all the way through February, March and April. That’s just what it is. I’m already looking forward to it. I’m on a mission, and I think all the guys should be too.”

What????? You lost me..........Thought this was in reference to his use of the word frickin. Took me an hour thinking what a dumb joke that was to figure out it wasn't the joke after all.
He needs to work on his penmanship so he can sign a contract with another team that’s looking for a POS linebacker who shouldn’t even be in amateur football. He needs to work on that speed so he can get to the wrong gap quicker.
LOL every one of the dudes we have now is total gl garbage with maybe exception of Thomas.Have too many needs to throw out every single linebacker.
Swap “won’t” with “could” and you have a great post.I mean, we’re all rooting for the guy. He could be great.
In my experience, I’ve found some of the best leaders are the ones who are the least vocal and let their actions do their talking for them. You do not have to be a superstar to be a leader.
I'm sure the Cowboys will make available to LVE the top specialists in sports development and training to prepare his body better for the rigors of pro football.Good for him at least he will try to prevent the injuries as best he can. Don’t give up.
Shouldn't he have been doing this since entering the NFL? Why does it take going into the season before his rookie 5th year option is picked up or not for him to now suddenly dedicate himself to improving?
I'm sorry but there just seems to be something about the Dallas Cowboys culture that encourages players to play at a middle of the road baseline and then try and go balls to the wall just before a new contract is due only to see those rewarded with a new contract revert back to that middle of the road baseline or worse.
but took accountability, unlike Jaylon....Also missed assignments and tackles when he isn't injured.

Sean Lee Jr.? Really? I doubt your body would last even 2 years in the NFL. Lee's been playing 14 years total both college/pro's. Arghhh...Lee is already gone...LVE is totally undependable (Sean Lee Jr.)....and Jaclyn is a Grade A doosh...oh, and he sucks.
I know whatchya mean, I was always quiet and I never got behind the rah rah rah crap, IMOF I found it distracting. In any full contact sport I was in I never wanted nor needed a cheerleader. I preferred to isolate myself, listen to my violent music of choice and put myself in my own little insane world where I would think thoughts of my opponent that would get me arrested or committed. All it took was that first bit of contact and game on.Absolutely. That is more my style in person. But this team lacks top end talent especially on defense and lacks vocal leadership. I love cooper, talented, does the right things on/off the field but he's not the vocal leader to inspire these men to greatness or pull their heads out of their butts when they act a fool. We have some young guys who could benefit from stronger leadership.
