Just me , but I already got the feeling that they already have their new DC in mind and in sight.
I've already noted my big 3 DCs, and that includes squeezing out other candidate of Steve Wilks, Kris Richard and Wade Phillips;

I also think the new DC they want will cater scheme around the likes of DLaw, rather than the other way around with wanting the players to cater to the scheme itself.
In other words, a scheme that allows him to be more comfortable with his hand on the ground/3 point stance instead of back pedalling and dropping into lanes and
standing up
He hasn't been doing much of that lately and only plays about 62% of the snaps

He did the right thing. That was Mike’s only flaw of hires he had last offseason. Outside of not calling plays. Nolan was always the, “wth” head scratcher.

I was hoping it was an incorrect report but the underwear gnome confirmed it.

A source confirms Mike Nolan had been fired as Cowboys defensive coordinator. Cowboys allowed the most points franchise history and finished ranked 31st in run defense. It's the first of what could be a couple changes on the defensive side of the ball.

Im just going off history. You remember how Garrett had 9 lives? I figured Jerry would blame Covid and look at the turnovers in the last 4 games and give him a pass. Im glad he made a move. I wouldn't mind having MM follow him, but that would actually shock me.
Difference is Jerry didn't hand pick Nolan, so he doesn't have to ego need to keep him.

JJ needs to channel his inner Chong Li and tell MM that he is next if he doesn't get all his crap in one sock...

How do you guys feel about Marvin Lewis?
As a D coordinator it’s really not a bad idea.
2 HCs to break up the responsibilities and concentrate on each unit.
I suggested Wade Phillips in another thread but there’s some obvious issues there but kinda the same idea.
