Russell Wilson was carried by his defense his early years in Seattle. He didn't have to do much of anything to win a ring. Now that the defense was disbanded and he became the focal point of the team, his teams are pathetic in the playoffs in relation to all his hype he gets. His offense is crap. Yet he gets a pass for everything. No idea why.

Now that he is making $35M per year not as much money left for the defense. Metcalf will be on his final rookie contract next year and will want $20M+ per year for the 2022 season.

Yes, they do. That's the perks of winning a Super Bowl. Wilson had games during that season where he made plays and won games. He contributed to them getting to the Super Bowl and winning it, so he gets credit, and a pass over a quarterback who never got there.

Perks, are the reason this world is a mess. No one deserves a pass.

We're talking about something intangible, not tangible.
When I speak of perks, I mean with a Super Bowl victory comes certain privileges. One being when you win, you get greater leeway than when you don't win.
In specific, it doesn't matter if Russ Wilson had a great defense, he was the quarterback of a Super Bowl-winning team. He is regarded more highly than Dak Prescott, who hasn't won a Super Bowl.
That has nothing to do with the "mess" that the world is in.

The overhyped, almighty Wilson went 8/20, a pick 6 and was terrible :lmao2::lmao2:

But don't worry, he will make some plays early in the year next season and people will fall for his act again and claim he is an MVP and so great.

Imagine what this board would say if Dak went 8/20 with a pick 6 and a loss?.

It would be one thing if Wilson was a reason they won but he wasn't. He rode that defense all the way. Seattle was not successful because of how great he was.

His offenses in the playoffs since that defense disbanded has been god awful.

Overhyped year after year.
