Thank you all for participating in the Gameday Menu and thanks @Reality for allowing it on the Fanzone.
One for the road!!! Today as part of our New Years resolution diet, we are having grilled chicken breast, an asparagus, mushroom and onion medley. Served with a cup of chicken enchilada soup.
Salud and Go........ whatever teams you're rooting for today!

back in tierra del fuego fly fishing. whatever the lodge is serving up will do. argentines are big meat eaters. so it will be some kind of lamb or beef. my ranch foreman e-mailed me to show it's snowing at the rancho. no snow here, but constant cold rain. buen provecho a todos.

Making some Memphis style drub rub ribs in the oven, homemade baked mac n cheese, southern style green beans with tons of bacon mixed in and margaritas. Dont usually make big meals to watch other teams play, but its already an ugly rainy day here in San Antonio and I have to watch other teams play in the playoffs once again. Gotta cheer myself up some how :)

I get a little nuts this time of year as this weekend and the next are my favorites and the CFP game on Monday tops it all off. I am hoping for better playoff games than what I saw yesterday, really not what I'd call playoff ball but then this season is not what I'd call a real season.

Yesterday I did ribs, hot slaw and "the devil made me do it" eggs and I will be stripping the meat off dem bones and using that slaw on pig sliders, I call "oinkers", and burger sliders with hot vinegar fries. I need to hit that diet but can't bring myself to do that during the playoffs, I needs me some football food! Oh yeah, all kinds of alcohol starting at high noon, if I don't get high before noon.

Thanks, Ranching, for doing this. I thought about doing it yesterday but then everyone would have yelled at me and Reality would have taken my badge away and I haven't even used my bullet yet.

I always look forward to this thread and guessing what Sarge will have, cereal or toast. He's thrown me off as I can't find the pattern.

Supposed to get snow up here in the Hill Country, should have planned on making chili.

Eggs, sausage and hash browns for breakfast. Later chicken noodle soup, grilled chicken, lettuce tomato, bacon and avocado sandwiches, maybe some chips.
Of course there will be booze:confused: it's still game day:laugh:

Maybe the powers that be will let you run this through the super bowl.
We do need to eat:)that is if you are so inclined;)

We'll probably have 2nd helpings of the chili/rice dish she made yesterday. I'll do my best to wait until dessert to dig back into the cherry pie she also conjured up. Of course I might get on an early health kick and feel the need for plenty of fruits today. Do Hops & Barley count as veggies?

Ha! For some maybe not so odd reason, yesterday night I was thinking how much I was going to miss the Gameday menu more than everything but the game itself.

I loved to see what fellow fans were grazing on and imbibing in. In many cases their menu was based on the weather, teams we were playing, mood, etc. I found that fun and fascinating plus they gave me some great menu ideas!

After destroying my body like I typically do during football season and the holidays, I’m trying my first ever 3 day juice cleanse starting tomorrow. I ordered it from some local company, should be delivered today. 6 bottles a day spaced apart with a bottle of cashew milk (ew!) for when I need a little more energy.

I’ve done 24 hour fasts and struggled to do that. My feeding habits are equivalent to a great white on land, I’m a machine and have a borderline eating disorder whether it’s healthy or not.

Anyways, my wife has done 5 day cleanses and swears by them. She said it helped reduce appetite in the long run (which I noticed even with my 24 hour fasts), noticed a difference with her skin, reduced sugar cravings and overall increased energy when it’s done of course.

Normally I’m not into fad diets, they’re just temporary fixes IMO, but after destroying myself and with a snowboarding vacation coming up in 2 weeks that will be heavily infused with trash food and alcohol I figured this couldn’t hurt. If successful, I’ll do another one when I get back then it’s time to try to bulk up and put on 10-15 lbs.

I have serious doubts whether I can do this or not, especially since I plan on continuing to work out (bumping up leg day so I’m not doing them on the third day when I’ll probably be ready to pass out from lack of energy) but I’m looking forward to the challenge. No pre workout, no protein shakes, no egg whites, nothing but juice.

Thanks for starting this thread Ranch, I just killed 20 minutes of cardio fat fingering my phone! GL with your diet buddy.

Lost a very good dog in this one! Going to miss Dolly. I have two of her pups so she lives on. RIP my sweet girl!
