Not so sure of I was EB I would want to come to Philthy. They are in cap hell for 2021, QB controversy, trigger finger owner.....seems there are better places to go when youre the guy everyone wants.

They’re a mess. They can’t find talent, they make terrible decisions on paying older players, their salary cap is garbage, and they let talented coaches like Swartz go because they can’t win with the horrible players that Howie gives them.

However, I don’t think it was Pederson that won them that super bowl. I’m pretty sure it was Reich with a hot Foles.

Every wanna' be isn't going to just leap at that job just to call themselves a head coach..........Lots of coordinators have turned down offers to be the head guy somewhere because of issues the team has..........

I agree . It seems as if it came down to Wentz or Pederson and they sided with the guy who is regressing badly.................

I understand that Peterson was never the same after Difilipo and Reich left. I truly get it. But he was still the head coach. Frank Reich was still apart of his coaching staff. So we can't sit here and give him zero credit for that Super Bowl.

There is only 1 reason he was fired.
  • The QB problem
Wentz is a franchise QB. He has had great success with garbage for weapons. Pedersen screed the pooch with Wentz, and then he went back for seconds in his final game treatment of Hurts. No coach is worth the money and hope tied up in a franchise QB.

A new coach will still have Wentz and Hurts under contract. The Eagles will address their receiver issues in round one and other issues throughout. Hurts showed nothing as a QB other than running ability. My guess is Wentz gets a fresh start in Philly due to his abilities and his contract. Hurts goes back to the bench.

Well, yeah, got to get Garrett as HC before he takes the Charger gig.

I can see Garrett and Wentz and Hurts and Philly fans. A match made in heaven.

The problem is Wentz has regressed so badly he's the equal now of his garbage weapons.............The next guy who comes in has to do Herculean work to get him back to an even good QB.

He is a bad coach....I honestly think this year he was worse than Garrett was last year. Just bad. I'm disappointed he's gone but at least it means they're probably sticking with Wentz who's just as bad as a quarterback as Peterson was a coach.
