I’m guessing he just might retire. He’s got plenty of $$$$ and he’s starting to miss more games than he plays. Probably tired of feeling like sh-t all the time too.

Plenty of money and enough accolades (7x pro bowl, 6x NFL top 100, 1st team all-decade) to get into Canton.

If he came back and risked his body during an obvious re-build then he really would be a modern day gladiator

He's a different kinda cat so I could see it going both ways.. It has been mentioned that winning a championship and/or getting to Canton are important to him but you can also see he's cerebral enough and strong enough mentally to walk away if it risks his long term health. He has played through pain for the last 3-4 years and maybe that does eventually wear a guy down and he just says F-it .. Tough call.. it would be a shame to lose him because when healthy there are none better in the game.. I would really like to see him at least come back and see if the surgery took care of the neck issue and go from there.. But the team absolutely needs a plan if he can't or won't come back..

I replied in those threads defending Bobby because it's not crazy.

Dallas owes him 39M over 3 years, each with 10M+ bases and no GRTD money left.

If you think Martin can play LT or La'el can you could move on.
Martin was a better than fine RT in his small sample. He was dominant.
Martin and La'el are both signed long term.

Both Connor's were "OK" to solid at OG.

You could draft a young swing OT and just roll with that saving 10M.
Martin’s injuries are becoming a frequent problem as of late.
