We dont need a pro bowler but he will be good as a rookie. The same way we FINALLY realized we needed a good oline, its time to do the same with the dline. Thats what a good team would do
What are your thoughts on his weight. At 20 years old he is 6'5 310. Can you see him playing at 320-325 in his prime?

I think Barmore would be my 2nd round target. He's not a first rounder unless its at the tail end of the round.

The Alabama product is fresh off a dominant outing against Notre Dame, recording a 92.2 PFF grade and a whopping seven pressures.

Keep in mind, the Fighting Irish boast the country's best offensive line. While we haven’t seen that kind of strong performance week in and week out from Barmore, he still has been the best pass-rushing interior defensive lineman this season. His 91.2 pass-rushing grade leads his position in the FBS.

These dudes smoking something thinking he'll be there in round 2.

I'd be pretty surprised if he fell out of the first at this point.

With his upside and the lack of talent at DT in general, I think someone will pick him.

Needs to be the selection. Sign a FA cb and get a dog in the middle because there's a good chance............VERY GOOD CHANCE that Hill will follow in Tacos footsteps and show in year 3 that he still sucks.

10 is a reach for Barmore. I think he is a good player with a chance to develop into a quality player but not at 10. If Cowboys want him then look to move out of the 10 spot so at least you can add an extra pick.

If hes a top 15 guy and goes 10 i dont care if we reached 5 spots.

Combines may get a clearer picture of where he is projected to go. Many publication such as Walterfootball have him as a late 1st early 2nd. That would be a reach

He looks better than that to me. A lot of times these internet draft sites are way off this time of year.

I agree but when you start seeing a consensus on players you get an ideal where players are being projected. Clearly they can get it wrong, we have all seen guys who are rated high and fail and guys not rated high and have great success. However if that is the case then there is no such thing as a reach. I think we will get a clearer picture as we get into the combines I'm not trying to knock Barmore but I also do not want Dallas to skip over higher graded talent to fill a need. Right now if Barmore is the guy Dallas wants I think it can be done by moving out of 10 spot. This is just not a strong DT draft, there are some good ones like Barmore and Nixon but I have yet to see anyone listing them as top 10 picks

I hear you, and I'm not saying I've studied Barmore a lot. Just saying that the "consensus" from these internet supposed draft gurus is often far different from what the actual scouts think.

I think we get a clearer picture as they head into the combines and pro days. I'm not against him in the least but I know how critical it is for this team to hit on that 10 overall pick.

I might even consider moving into the late 1st. I like the player alot, I think he can be a force. Just not rounded enough for 10 right now.

Alot depends on the system too. I value him more if we stick with a multiple front scheme. I think we can attack from many different gaps. A full time even front, I still like him but not as much

Hes an ascending player and I do like the pass rush potential I just need to dig on more on his run D.

Our run D isn't getting any better if we continue to draft guys like Collins / Hill / Gallimore that have good athleticism but lack power and struggle to anchor.

I think Barmore would eventually be a plus run defender. If you take him, in terms of run defense you can improve there by targeting a lower usuage player at DT to play run downs in FA and later in the draft. If you can get out of this draft with Barmore and McNeal, you are in pretty good shape

Would be interesting if he was available in round 3 (which I doubt)

If I"m taking a DT in the top 50 he needs to be good at both.

That's why I"m high on guys like Wilson and McNeil but have questions about Barmore. He might have the highest pass rush ceiling of the bunch but if he kills you against the run I'm hesitant.

Daron payne wasnt good at both and he went 13. And if Washington didnt take him someone else wouldve in the next 5 picks

I think 10 is high for Barmore. He’s not as complete a player as Payne. Payne is by far the better run defender. But I do think he will go in round 1. And this draft is short on elite talent. Bunch of these guys might carry similar grades. May not be a reach. We’ll see.

Depends on who picks him!
