Of course he does. It’s common courtesy nowadays to enjoy watching the Cowboys fail, and that includes old players. I have no doubt in my mind that Aikman is enjoying this. He loves watching his senile, old, know it all owner, fail.

Aikman also thinks Dak Prescott is an elite quarterback and Jason Garrett is a great coach.

Troy seems at odds with Dallas a bit because I think the job he'd really like to have is President of the Cowboys, much like John Elway in Denver. He knows it will never happen here.

He's been really critical of Jerry the past few years.

So like we’ve said for 4 days, it’s back to the Marinelli days. Simplicity. Which McCarthy and the FO said they wanted to get away from.

Hope that is the first question McCarthy is asked in his next press conference. Why has his philosophy changed?

Aikman can't get enough of himself. His opinions are about as accurate as many on cz. Some are right, some are wrong. Big deal.

Airman does not pull his punches when it comes to the cowboys. If he didn’t like it, he would have said so. Cheerleader Irvin on the other hand.......

Agree but on the Michael Irvin podcast today with guest Aikman it was the the other way around. Irvin was quite critical of the Quinn hire.

Why would they want to get away from simplicity when simplicity worked? As much as everyone got on Marinelli, Nolan was handed a similar cupboard of players... we lost Byron Jones, but we got a more active Randy Gregory, Aldon Smith and a ton of other names on defense in FA and that produced the worst defense in Cowboys history. Maybe Marinelli and Richard's simple approach brought out a lot from the guys we have on the roster.

If Quinn bringing back simplicity improves the defensive ranking, I'm all for that.

Marinelli had plenty of time to build a Championship DEF, he got no where near this. If Quinn get's back to 'Marinelli levels' and that's it the hire would be a fail
